The MG B was one of the greatest British sports cars of the 1960's and Frontline Developments have attempted to bring it into the 21st Century with the MG B Abingdon Edition. Named after the town where MG was based, the Abingdon Edition features a fully restored engine producing over 300HP in a car weighing under 1000KG, allowing for a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of over 160 MPH.

Combined with the latest performance suspension and brakes, and detailed finishings using the finest materials available, you have one of the greatest classic restorations available.

To create the MG Abingdon Edition, Frontline starts with an original iconic MGB and over the course of many weeks and months fully restore the body using all new panels that are hand built in Oxfordshire by British Motor Heritage to the identical specifications of the original and then apply their own exacting build standards. Every panel is examined, refinished and realigned until it’s perfect. All panel gaps are symmetrical, every blemish eradicated. The original may have been fine in the 20th century but this car has evolved since then.

The engine is a Mazda 2.5 Inline 4 taken from the Mazda MX-5 tuned to replicate the engine from the original MG B and is paired to a Mazda 6 speed manual while ventilated disc brakes and aluminium suspension provide excellent handling.

This isn't an MG. They are registered as with Frontline as the manufacturer and Abingdon as the model.
