Last winter I built myself a racing cockpit to make use of my brand new DFP.
I love the cockpit and the DFP as well. They have greatly increased the experience of racing with GT4 AND GTR for the PC. But since then my situation has changed (3 new occupants) and I no longer have a dedicated game room for this to live in. I hate to part with it but I have not played in a while and............so on. It is officially for sale.
I am a professional fabricator and this thing is put together well.
This thing has already been through several 100+MPH crashes and has hardly a scratch on it.
The sturdy frame is made from 1" square tube with 14 guage wall thickness.
If I remember right, the "table" for the wheel is 12 guage steel and the "floor" for the pedals is 14 guage.
The seat is very stable and slides on rails, it has several inches (maybe 8 or 10) of travel and the foot pedals have 3 or 4 different mounting places.
Going from a Mad Catz 2 wheel sitting on your lap to this setup is AMAZING!!!
Even the difference between having the DFP clamped to a table or desk and having a realistic cockpit type of setup like this is truely fantastic.

I would REALLY prefer to sell it to someone close enough to make a deal in person as shipping would obviousely be a hassle as well as cost prohibitive.
I would like to get $450 for the whole works.
I live in Kankakee, Illinois. It is about 60 miles south of Chicago.
Some of you may be leary of the fact that I am a new member here on GTplanet. I have visited many times in the past but I have not had any reason to post untill now. I am not trying to scam anyone and as I said I would rather sell it to someone in person, I would not be opposed to a "test drive" if you are close enough.
