Hi guys. What fuel map settings should I put for this race?

Also, which tyres would you suggest?

Any other settings changes to the X2019 you'd recommend? Downforce? Transmission?

Autopolis is a track I'm going to have to get good at too.

I used FM 1 all the time, did three 10 lap stints. BB 0. RM tires, no assists but ABS.
Stock settings except increased downforce ( halfway between stock and max ).
Last gear was too short when slipstreaming down the straight, didn't care though.
Finished about two minutes ahead of the field.

There's already some discussion in the V1.40 thread however the gist of it is...

RS is fine. FM1 is fine. Fuel up every 10 laps. 300km/h final drive. I used a HSG tune. max downforce. My driving could stretch it to 12 laps which makes for a shorter faster final stinit.

You can also do FM6 and RH and also cruise it home with no pitting if you're consistent.

Very helpful and interesting! Thanks guys.

Increased downforce to about halfway to max......Very interesting....gonna try that.

Downforce is up to you. I would recommened MAX given that Autopolis has a fair few fast-ish constant radius-ish corners... and worse, they are linked so you can gain a lot of time just not braking.

If the track was Monza Le Mans then yeah, do a low downforce to get your top speed up.

As you get more and more proficient you can drop the downforce and just get used to the lower grip on corners.

eg. if you know the track well you can use a low downforce setup for the challenge.

Downforce is sort of like salt pepper... you add or remove depending on your taste.

eg. for any of the Nostalgia 79 races I always use a low downforce Daytona setup as I need that top end and I just get used to the relative lack of corner speed.

For anything that's a bit less curvy than Autopolis I would try to get used to a low downforce x2019 setup just so you can get more of that 300km.h top end since its abysmal.

@isamu
The downforce settings I used were arbitrary.
These GT League races aren't that hard so I usually use stock cars with a lower tire grade, less power etc. for the challenge.
The stock X2019 appeared a bit too twitchy though in the faster corners and especially on the curbs, so that's why.

Ah, did I mention ... Avoid the curbs if possible  !
And try to overtake in safe places ... the AI hasn't got a problem to spin you out or push you offtrack.

Gotcha. Will do!

I just ran the car with the PD supplied set up and only assist ABS. The biggest thing I found is that you have to drive like there is an egg under the throttle pedal, its very easy to spin out of slow to medium speed corners due to rear tire spin. You have to be careful on medium speed sweepers like the one before the 90 degree LH at the top of the hill, I spun a couple times when I thought the car was planted, the back end suddenly comes around on you. Like others have mentioned stay of the curbs. Once you find a rhythm and get used to the car its pretty easy to win.
