RUF RGT-8. What a car!!

I've just been using a stock one in S Class World Championship (or whatever it's called). Such fun!

It's got a wonderful 'rubbery' or 'pliable' feel to it that can make it feel forgiving in the middle of a turn, but push too hard and it will bite you badly. I love this car!

Question to the car aficionados: What is the equivalent Porsche 911 model and how similar are they?

Anyone else got a fun car recommendation...?

I think the old Lambo Miura, tuned for A class, is the most fun car to drive that I have. It's not the fastest around any given track, but it's a blast to drive.

330 P4 - tuned for S class.

Guy's when you say tuned, are these tunes available to download? (I can't tune!!)

Thanks...

BTW: Wiggs -great Avatar! Gonna do my second viewing of The Wire this xmas. Watched all 5 seasons 2 years ago and have been dying to watch again (but forced myself to wait until I feel I've forgotten the stories enough!)

Seriously, I can't help but think that my B class Dodge Charger Daytona is a riot to drive. That car has far better perfomance than I expected it to have, even with the modifications I've made. It's by far my favourite muscle car in the game right now.

My C Class Mazda MX-5 with my mega handling tune on it for the Monthly Rivals which has me in 87th place on the leaderboard :D

There is no equivalent Porsche, because Porsche haven't had the desire to shoehorn a Cayenne V8 into a 997!

I don't have that tune on my storefront, but I'd be glad to put it up if you want to try it. The Wire is my fav show of all time. I have the complete series on dvd and still watch it whenever I see an old episode on tv. :)

The Ruf's are all fun, though turning can be somewhat iffy in the "R" with it's 4WD. Always fun and different with all the stuff out back playing havoc with the lead foot on the throttle...

So far the best car in game for me has been the AMX Javelin. I have a couple, one done like Mark Donahue's old NASCANT Matador. I've been running many A/B class events and rivals with a basic tune to keep the back end under it, and it's done quite well. She runs even better after the steering issues/patch and all were done. I love that car in the game, though in the real world it never got to me like the old Rebel or Scrambler 390.

The little Abarth 131 is another I've had a blast with. With the little tuning room for the rivals, it has a very nice exhaust note. Ran one in a B Class race on Mt. Kaito on line the other day and it was a screamer. Brought back many memories from days gone by. Hoping the little old Ford in the DLC will sound similar and provide a similar experience...

So many surprises to find and enjoy in there. I hope I get to try them all...

It would be nice if they could add the N/A 996 RGT that was in the GT games, cause Porsche's very best models have arguably been the naturally aspirated cars.

Damn you RUF not making an N/A 6. Really missing the GT3s right now!

Fuzzy, I'll put it up when I get home tonight. 👍

Thanks Wiggs. :) I'll let you know what I think of it in a few days...

Out of interest, are you a wheel user?

(I don't know a huge amount about cars do forgive my ignorance) Porches, especially 911 derivatives always seem so much fun to drive (in games) -their fun factor is always betrayed by their Teutonic appearance IMO.

With a couple of light tweaks the Lotus 2-Eleven is a right blast to drive (A-600) so nimble, so quick, another A class car thats a bit of a laugh to drive is the Chevrolet Impala SS it takes a bit of upgrading but, just seeing a 60's american muscle car carve up Ferraris and the other exotic cars in A class is worth it, it powerslides like a champ as well

Wiggs -thanks.

A few guys have mentioned American muscle cars in this thread, I really must give some of them a try. I must admit because I'm not a fan of them from an aesthetic point of view, I've never really given them a go. I need to broaden my car horizons I guess...

Another vote for Javelin here. The car may be glitched to all hell but it's a riot to drive and sounds magnificent.

Most of the American muscle cars have a bit of an advantage when compared to other similarly upgraded cars....that's why a lot of the leaderboard cars are muscle cars. The handling isn't great on those cars, but they usually have great speed, acceleration, and launch.

I love that Ruf i have Lce so i have all three of them. Awesome cars. Great detail in the cockpit is what made me fall in love with these cars. The Rt12.

My Fun car is the Tesla Roadster Sport. This hybrid makes no sound wich is cool in its own way. This car seems too be made for Fujimi kaido. I tuned it up too A600 and its a absolute blast too drive on that track.

Wiggs: Wow that Lambo is PLANTED! It just refuses to misbehave! That's definately one to use online... impressive! Thanks for the tune...

I'm looking forward to trying the other RUF's now...

You're welcome. It's tuned more for medium length tracks, as you can probably tell. I need to pick up a RUF or two....they're getting a lot of praise in this thread.

If you do try the RUF, stick with it. It's a car you have to 'learn' if you know what I mean. Also it works really well on flowing tracks like Mugello & Infineon.

Now that Forza has something very close to true sim handling, cars like this just need experienced in their stock form!

IMO F4 has 2 minor problems:

1. The career mode is too biased towards 2 lap, first corner, banzai races. I prefer somewhere between 5 & 10 laps.
2. The (amazing) tuning model & the upgrading of AI PI discourages the use of stock cars. Meaning a lot of players will miss out on experiencing gems like the RUF.

I have decided to play career mode using only stock cars (and only using Event List so as to keep the AI sensible). Playing this way is just so much fun!

Fully Tuned Chevy Spark, All upgrades except drivetrain swap, insanely fast on the straights, but, press on the throttle in a corner and you'll slide very wide.

Sparks are fun but I really enjoyed sliding around corners in my AMC Javelin until daddy T10 took my lap times away, LOL.

i've noticed it doesn't save your best times on each track. Spent 2 hours yesterday trying to find the fastest dragracing car before finding this.

It does if you have online. It records your fastest lap for that race and will post it to the leaderboards. Only thing is though, it doesnt record multiples.
