I think this probably belongs in the Other Racing section (or whatever its called...), but I'm posting it here because this forum has more people.

Do any of you guys know the hp and weight of an average Funny Car? I've been wondering about this for a while now.

i believe they have nearly the same hp as as top fueler (6000 est.) and weigh between 2200-2600 lb. But i think i may be closer with the weight. 4-5g in hp may be more likely.

The IDRA is one of the fastest growing racing there is.
Its really exciting and they are breaking records left and right.
The NIRA is making some headroom too.
Import drag racing is even making an impact on the NHRA as they are now officially recognized as a drag racing format.
Given time these associations will be up there right with the big boys.
