Funny Thing in Seattle Circuit

I was racing a couple years ago on Seattle in I think the Gillet Vertigo Race Car (This was a couple of years back, so I don't know the particulars). It was on the Reverse version I think. So I was in 1st and on the main straight before the tight right-hander. You know the wall on the right side and how it juts out at one point with a small tire barrier? Well, I was driving by it and this Ford GT40 Race Car came screaming by my right and slammed into it! It was hilarious. I think another car hit him, too.

Report stupid AI stunts here!

I was doing one of the rallies, I think it was Tahitti (not the maze) Hard. The AI was ahead of me. I came around a blind corner and there he was sitting sideways at the apex. With no time to react, I hit him hard. (try that in GT4) It took him long enough to recover that I had no problem winning.

On the Trial Mountain Endurance I was passing a WRX in the canyons. I took the inside line to his right. He took the turn too wide, hit the wall hard, and bounced off into me.
Later in the race I was behind him in that same area and he hit the wall again. Bounced off the left wall so hard he went all the way over to the right wall.
Towards the end of the enduro, I was passing him again in the same section. I expected him to hit the wall so this time I took the outside line, even though I was aiming myself right at him. Luckily he was consistent. He bounced off the wall just in time to get out of my way and I breezed right past him. :D

Bump.
You should check the Seattle Endurance, with the Shelby Cobra. He drives sloppy, smacks into walls, and guess what? He pits every two laps.

I've had this happen occasionally. It makes me mad! :irked: I usually reset my game to at least try some simulation of a red flag/cancelled race due to death.

I think you are taking realism a bit too far...:scared:

The Shelby Cobra is most sloppy on the Laguna Seca track, he screws up even the FIRST turn! :odd: How you spin out on the first turn? :grumpy: The Cobra basically can't drive on any track with the A.I. driving. Not the Test Course, because of ratios, not any boards with turns, because of the suspension... If I can drive a Cobra with a DS2 then so should they. :sly:

Well also the Mercedes CLK Touring Car (DTM Race) spins out on the last turn on Laguna Seca, as well as the Nissan Skyline GTS-M (Red R Emblem) in the Ametuer League. The AI improved in some areas in GT4, but not all of them, they still can't drive the Cobra. :guilty:

Yes I do and I'm proud of it bro! :D If you crash into a wall such as Driving Park described, wouldn't you be completely tore up? What do you think the race marshals would do?....just go on with the race? Hell no...there'd be one hell of a mess first of all...second of all that driver that rammed you would probly be black-flagged. The fans would be awed but they'd be upset as well. Any fans of yours would be about to pummel the fans of the GT40 driver.

GT doesn't simulate any of this so I do! 💡 Actually I like my replays to look as realistic as I can get them (so far as my driving goes)...you can't do much about the Ai of course.

I loved the Cobra at Laguna Seca. It reminded me of GT2, and the 3rd Muscle Car Cup race. It was like synchronized spinning.

Another winner is the CLK race car at the Laguna Seca enduro. Driving a stock Panoz, I had him down something like 13 laps by the end of it, because he spun on the last corner at least every other lap.

Yeah I forgot about that one. In one of the Pro races (I believe it was the Gran Turimso All Stars), I was up against the Mazda 787B and GT40 Race Car.

Well, the Mazda of course was on its best game. The GT40 did well for a few laps but after awhile was sliding and spinning at Laguna Seca. And it finally spun in the 2nd to last turn.....then slid all the way into pit road! It was so funny I think I actually wound up in a near-spin myself!

The Formula 1 Cars like to drift on turn two on the Apricot Hill Raceway. :dopey: Also the Lotus Elise and Opel Speedster always drift and brake REAL late when on the second last corner on Rome Reverse, in the European Championship, as well as turn 1 and two on SSR5 in the same cup and cars.

its kinda unrelated cos this is in GT2
but i remember my bro racing in the muscle car cup at laguna seca
at the corkscrew a car flew in the air somehow

I think I posted something about the Cobra on Laguna Seca a few days back on a different thread. But it is exactly like racerx510 said. It seems to spin of on every coner. Well, not that bad, but it cant handle any circuit, which sucks. The AI seems to have less brains then a Gold Fish!

Most of the time it's true. In fact when I raced against the Cobra, I'd rarely compete with it directly...it's almost a guarantee it'll screw up. And if it doesn't screw up, it's on tires that are too soft (notice it makes a pitstop every 3 laps at the Seattle Enduro).

When I watched it he was not driving sloppy, he was drifting pretty well. But I did realise that he pitted every two laps!

Finishing Formula GT, I hit the first-placed F094/S at Monaco at the chicane (a complete accident; didn't brake enough), and he was stuck for FIFTEEN LAPS! A F688/S was hit by another opponent and stalled for six.

The former car was my toughest competitor; needless to say I won the race, but it was a hollow victory...

Why is it that AI cars can reverse out of some accidents on certain places of any circuit, but not out of others? It even happens in GT4.

Though unrelated, I was driving a F686/M at the time.
