So... I ended up in Italy on a college trip for nine days, two in Rome, seven in the Adriatic. I have many many pics to post, and a lot of stories to tell, but I thought i'd kick off with a gallery and story of the insanity of the Italian motorist.
Taxi from Rome airport to Rome city centre and our first hotel, and we are doing 70 kilometres an hour (50mph?) in an old Taxi when our driver decides to take both hands off the wheel and look at his map... the scariest few seconds of my life.
In Rome its not "can you park" it's "where do you park" - the place is loaded with hatchbacks and small cars, and one car in particular, which I will showcase below.... In fact I laughed so hard when outside my mates hotel room when someone decided to slot his saloon into a parking space... by driving into the back of the car parked in front, and then reversing to push the car behind back... oh well, here is some pics of the fun, games, and horrors of Italian motoring

Ok doesn't count really but it's still irresistable.

What Porsche is this? The name tag on it was too badly damaged to read... a 924 perhaps?
Dat's sexy.
Porsche Panamera.
Smart's. At least 1 in bloody 7 of every car is a Smart, so common. Even more so than Lancia's!
Worst panel fit ever on this horrid Mini rip-off thing... the little car that just couldn't...
Modern day 500 - me likey.
A lot of three wheelers on the Adriatic, useful for small streets. (Though try telling the Audi Q7 driver I saw that bit...)
Fiat Panda 4x4.
Alfa Mito. I like!
Scooters very common everywhere, in fact for every Smart car I would say there are 3 scooters.
A favourite of mine - amazing how a modern day "small car" dwarfs the classic 60's model.

Renault, obviously lost thinking it was Paris. What model is it?
GREAT NEWS! I saw a Dacia Duster!
Fiat Punto convertible... pass me a sick bag...
Jaguar XK - now I feel much better.
Bashed up VW Beetle. Love the colour.
Also shout outs to me seeing on way to airport an old Morgan, Red F430, Lancia Delta Integrale, and a white Jaguar XK.
