It's likely I'm just low on the learning curve but I have a lot of trouble finding 6th gear on the rare occasion I've needed to use it recently. Do any G25 users have advice other than going to sequential shifting mode? I usually wind up in neutral trying to shift from 5th to 6th.

So I can enjoy racing and as a temporary work-around, I've switched to using the straight shift mode or whatever it's called where you just bump the gear selector up or down to change gears. But, that defeats the purpose of having a clutch pedal and an H-shifter - part of the reason I wanted the G25 in the first place.

I love the G25 except for this problem. And, it's most likely just operator error. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Me and my dad have trouble finding 5th sometimes. You just have to get used to it and not push down the shifter when shifting.

Pushing down is another part of the issue. I would prefer a shifter that allowed a more physical handle. Then again, I don't see professional drivers slamming gears on the in-car videos. It's just a quick but smooth click or bump for them. This is just taking some getting used to. I really don't like dumbing down my game to work around my own bad habits. But, to enjoy some racing I had to. Guess I should work on it though.

so do I.. I used to have trouble in shifting 5th to 6th and vice-versa, like 6th to 3rd or 5th to 4th:boggled:I remembered how Fujiwara Takumi shifting and it worked:lol:you can watch how people shifting in youtube, or other place. After that you can get used to it:cheers:

I don't race with 6-speed clutch on G25. I just use the sequential shifter mode.

I reccomend to slightly turn your right had slightly to the left for 20 degrees or so. This way, when you shift, you'll most likely get into the sixth gear. I have tried six-speed clutch before, and I find that shifting from 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 are the easiest, because you're just bumping the shifter up or down.

I'm working on getting my wrist in a better position for shifting from 5th to 6th. Rarely do I have a problem shifting from 1st through the gears to 4th or going down from 4th gear. But, it's way too easy to pull the shifter over into the reverse slot and wind up in neutral instead of 6th gear. Still working on it though.

i have just bought a g25 wheel and so far no problems with it those that have trouble with shifting from 5-6th gear may i recommend that you place your hand on the left side of the stick not on top and push to the right that way you may not have any trouble

is it possible to go into 7th with the s2000 with the g25 and H shifting

I'm afraid not!!! You have to use paddle shifters for that or to use the sequential mode of the shifter(forward for downshift and backward for upshift). I'm not sure if you can use the clutch with s2000, but the h-shift pattern is for 6 gears!! See U

One of the great appeals of the G25 is the clutch and H-pattern gearbox, but does the clutch actually work like in a real car. Does it have feal and friction??

The clutch has more resistance to the foot than the accelerator but I think it depends of the game you are playing.

In Gt5 Prologue, you have to push the clutch to a position like an on/off buttom and then you have to shift. If you don´t push the clutch and shift phisically and move the stick, the shifter would be in first/second/... gear position because the shifter has no resistance at all, but in the game you would have mis-shift and the selected gear would be N (Neutral)!

I think that in some Pc games the clutch could be progressive and you can do it like you do in real life, but of course you will always be able to phisically move the gear stick to the position you would like!!

Maybe in future wheels they would perform a mechanical device that could block the stick if you are not pressing correctly the clutch pedal!!

See U, hope this would solve your dude!
