Hey guys, here is something that should make all G25 & G27 owners very very happy ;-)

Steve and I are serious and passionate about sim racing and we would like to share our developments with our community. We are proud to announce our collaboration here, if you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to mail us at StigSimExperience@gmail.com

The Logitech G27 possesses one of the most moddable sets of pedals on the Sim Racing scene. With many mods available to sim racers including stiffer springs, load cells and rubber bumpers the G27 pedals are extremely versatile. However, one of the limitations of the G27 is a short pedal arm, making the pedals unduly small.

StigSimExperience, Mark Puc (AussieStig) and Steve Spenceley, have decided to combine their efforts and professions to develop these unique adjustable StigSimExperience Pedal Risers.

How much and how much higher do they make the pedals?

Hi fatkrakr, thanks for your comment, things are being worked out right now as we have to source components from different areas. Additionally the design, as stated is in development and may change slightly in the final version. Once all the details are worked out we will announce them via the proper channels.
  • SSE’s total pedal riser height is 233mm or 9.17”. Measured from the underside of the G27 base to the top of our new pedal riser. Pedal faces can be adjusted 20mm or 0.79’’ horizontally and 40mm or 1.57’’ vertically.

Thanks again and I hope I have answered your questions adequately, cheers, Mark (AussieStig)

This looks really nice, great concept.

Will this include some stiffer springs for the pedals? It seems like the longer pedals will allow a lot more leverage making the normal springs inadequate. I know the typical modders will likely have a stiffer brake spring already but I wonder how they will feel with the longer throw? Maybe it would be helpful to include a clutch and gas pedal as those are less commonly swapped out.

How much longer will the pedal throw be?

Also it looks like the angle/rake of the pedals arms and faces are adjustable, that would be great for setting the pedals up for heal-toeing.

Its too bad my rig doesn't have the room for these, or maybe it does? I'm definitely curious to see the final version!

I'll keep an eye out here. Sometime next year I hope to buy a house, and I will be buiding a proper rig, this might very well end up a part of it.

Hey Jimmy _Pop,

Thank you for your interest in our development, we are looking forward to the opportunities ahead. Good luck with your house hunting and subsequent build.

Cheers, Steve & Mark

Hey guys, just a quick note, what are your ideas regarding a very stiff progressive brake spring? We are looking into this at the moment and would like your feedback.

Cheers Mark

A very stiff? Ehh. Something that keeps it comfortable to play in socks would be nice though.
BTW, cool mod idea. I'll be interested once you guys get there.
Thanks Rallywagon, we are developing our mod nicely and this is just one of the ideas we are working on now. Thanks as well for your interest we hope to offer a truly unique mod to everyone as soon as possible.

Cheers Steve and Mark

I know this thread is a bit old...but this pedal mod looks great! Please update us AussieStig!:D

It'll be great if you offered a solution that adjusts the pedal travel. While making the pedal arms taller has many benefits, such a change would increase the pedal travel to an excessive amount. Should this pedal mod be released, I plan to pair it with the Perfect Pedal brakes. The PP itself has a very very short pedal travel that, when effectively doubled with the arm extension, would be perfect for the Formula cars that I drive the most. The gas and clutch pedals, however, remain a problem. Perhaps you could offer a solution that pairs a short spring with metal washers that fill out the remaining space in the pedal spring housings? Pedal travel can be drastically cut this way.

Hey mate, thanks for your comments, we are striving to create a viable alternative to high end pedals, so, we are attempting to take all aspects into consideration. Your comments have been noted. I must say, using my current MDF risers on which these risers are based, I don't have the feeling that there is too much travel. I can comfortably get full extension on all three pedals without straining myself whilst pushing on them.

Cheers, AussieStig

For the gas pedal, ideally you should be offering a solution that has around 35mm of travel with the extensions fitted. The spring would be a linear one and have a stiffness (with extension) comparable to that of the stock G25 brake clutch spring w/o extension fitted. This kind of setup + perfect pedal would be great for formula cars.

More to come people, its not just risers. I'm trying to get hall sensors instead of POTS, and the final touch, a reworked clutch with a realistic clutch feel. I've got the parts I need and am sending them in a couple weeks to the Prototyper. Very exciting as this will transform the G27 pedal set into high end sent of pedals.

The springs I'm goofing around with as well, I have a source for those but would love to have an option for Perfect Pedal for those that want it.

Many thanks to Aussie Stig for allowing me the ability to be involved in this project. Hopefully I'll have an update for you soon.

On the ISR Forum its been said that this was deemed to expensive and they couldnt get the price down to a point where it made business sense.

So looks like its not happening.

Interested in seeing how this turns out, and what the asking price is. I might make the G920 leap and I hope this mod works with the G29/G290 pedals. Your mod fixes a major dislike I have with the G25/G27/G29/G290 pedals.
