G25 & g27

[Nova21]

I'm looking at buying a wheel and I want to know if the G27 is actually significantly quieter than the G25. If it is a tiny bit less I won't bother spending the extra money but if it actually is a lot quieter I will go with it. Someone let me know please.

If you try an advanced search, limited to titles on this board, for "G25" and "G27", you may be able to find something on this topic already posted. You could also try "G27 review" or "G27 noise" or similar terms.

i can't tell you if the g27 is quieter than the G25, but the G25 is fairly quiet already. compared to my original Driving force pro that came out with Gt4, it is a world of difference. that DFP was noisey as hell, i couldn't drift late night as it could be heard easily from a good distance. not sure the price difference, but it seems the G27 is just a "flashier" G25 with some extra buttons, and lack of Sequential shifter.

G27 is suppose to have helical cut gears which would reduce noise further if it's true. I can NOT confirm this.
