I dont know if im doing something wrong here,im a long time pc sim racer and g25 user with them...im connected to gt5:P and the cars handle like poo..the wheel has no real feeling at all when im racing...

Could you guys tell me where im going wrong and what setups your using im using this.

steering Settings:
Simulation
power steering on
feedback strength 5 but ive tried 10 and it seems just as weird.

in the race settigns im using
manual transmission
active steering strong
driving physics professional
ASM off
traction control OFF

the cars just handle so whack

Most people set the FFB to somewhere between 5-7. Have a play after you've turned off the above and see what feel right for you.

Steering type: Simulation
Power assist: Off
FFB:10
Active Steering: Off
ASM: Off
TCS: Off
ABS: 1
In-car view

Manual transmission, and ofcourse Pro-physics. I would never use any other settings. I highly recommend to use FFB 10... it gives so much info, even you dont notice it.

Is it bad that i play with my G25 at ten? Should i tone it down to save my wheel?

I play with my G25 set to 10 and it feels awesome. Incorrect suspension settings are relayed through the feeling of the wheel; you can feel the springs bottom out, the car skipping around corners instead of a smooth route, etc.

If my wheel wears out/breaks, I hear Logitech is really good to deal with regarding RMA replacement/repairs. It seems pretty durable to me though, the only thing that feels like it could break is the shifter.

Compared to GTR2 the feedback isn't quite as powerful when playing GT5p, but I feel this could be remedied if Logitech had a PS3 setup application.

Yea i was about to say the Wheel feels so good at ten. I wish It had a viabration feeling when accelerating though. That would make it so much better, somtimes going in straight lines are life less. Hopefully they make a New wheel that support accelerating viabrations.

Exactly My setup.

Steering type: Professional
Power assist: Off
FFB:8
Active Steering: Off

I use this I find it quite realistic:tup:

+1

I use,

Steering type: Simulation
Power assist: Off
FFB:7
Active Steering: Off
ASM: Off
TCS: Off
ABS: 1

Feels great to me, but ive not tried any PC sims. Tried FC and didnt like it at all compared to GT5P. Just my opinion. 👍

For you guys who played GTR 2 with the G25 is there any feedback while accelerating or is it dead like GTP?

My settings

Steering type: Simulation
Power assist: Off
FFB:1
Active Steering: Off
ASM: Off
TCS: Off
ABS: 1

This works for me, my puny little arms can't turn the wheel if I have the FFB any higher :dopey:.

:odd:And yet you can carry that Video cam with you all the time:sly:

wow super car challenge actualy looks decent...

hmm i guess it kinda fixed my problems the cars drive really weird still though imo..

On a related note. Can someone explain exactly what happens when you change the "Steering type " setting. I have used Simulation but when I tried Professional instead I felt no difference whatsoever. What gives?

I use force feedback 10, I like to have a weighted wheel. I also like the feedback for when I'm tuning, but it's a little too violent some times, I still don't want to lose the steering weight though.

yep disable the power steering, thats whats making it wack. also in the options in the main root menu before you go into any racing, set the mode to simulation, then when you are about to race and you get the menu to select your tires and the ai level etc, make sure your steering setting that goes onto professional. if you leave this one as standard, the car will have endless grip, I used this mode when the career mode got to hard
also turn off the active stability, and TC, you will like it after that

That setting has no effect on 900º wheels.

Can someone please tell me how to change the force feedback, I only got me G25 last week and havn't worked it out yet:ouch:

Thanks

Options/wheel settings. First icon of the list... before all specific wheels.

I ordered G25 yesterday and soon PS3. I never had any ps so far, so I am guessing, do you need to install the wheel on PS3 like on computer?

Nope, plug and play.... set it up in-game.. 👍

If you are really a long time pc sim racer, and if you are into what I called 'old school techniques' like heel/toe, brake modulation and pedal featherings, like you need to do a lot in GPL, rfactor, LFS, etc...the only other thing that I would suggest is.. do 'G25 brake mod' and set ABS=0. Adjust brake setting to suit, and then wham!! you just got into another different level of simulation. As long as you are driving the car properly, I guarantee you will love it.👍

Yeah ABS off does add a whole other dimention to driving in GT5P, not many even give it a try though (more than 30 seconds of 100 brake lockups atleast)

Plug it in, setup completed :)
