I purchased my G25 about 3 weeks ago and I finally completed my cockpit build. Now that the G25 pedals are mounted (reverse/hanging), I'm able to drive with a little more enthusiasm. Because of this, I'm started to feel some light knee pain. It's mainly on the inside of my right knee. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so...what's the remedy?

*EDIT: In case someone does a search and finds this page, I have found the source of the pain and a solution to the problem. As is stated later in the post, I have my pedals mounted from above instead of from the ground. This does produce strain on different muscles, ligaments and tendons to some degree. The extra strain of depressing the pedals, essential from the top and pushing down, puts pressure on the patellar and quadricep tendons. The patellar tendon runs from the lower leg (tibia) to the knee cap (patella) and the quadricep tendon runs from the knee cap to the quadricep. The pain from this pushing action is very common (often called runners knee, jumpers knee, etc.) and is associated with mild pain and soreness above and below the knee cap. The other pain issue I ran into was along the inner side of my knee, specifically the medial collateral ligament. This pain was much more sharp and felt more like an injury, and not soreness. This injury/pain was cause from angled depression of the pedals, as opposed to straight on depression. This often happens when you're switching back and forth from gas and brake and you begin to pivot on your heel. This isn't necessarily bad, but because you are no longer just involving the ligaments that support and transfer of strength straight on, (i.e. the quad, quad tendon, knee cap, and patella tendon) then other ligaments, tendons and muscles start to take the load. So, in short, take care of your driving technique. I was so excited to get my cockpit done, I played 6 hours straight, and my muscles and tendons were not warm and stretched, and I paid for it. Oh, and the elastic knee braces are a big help. So is R.I.C.E.

Hi. I get that sore knee thing sometimes as well. I find that i am applying to much pressure in an effort to make the car go faster!
What sort of setup do you have? Do have the seat set on an angle so that your knees are bent of straight out?

I dont suffer with any knee pain, my legs are near enough straight out in my rig, I do however suffer with a sore heel now and then after heavy use.

I suffer from Knee problems when playing sport, however I haven't suffered any problems when using my G25. I don't use inverted pedals I wish I did) though so that may be a reason. Do you do any heel-toe at all? You could try wearing one of those knee-supports which should help. Unfortunately bad knees don't tend to recover properly, if you suffer from them once you are likely to suffer from them again.

I do heel-toe, and I believe this is what's causing it, as I'm just learning. I think the soreness isn't really injury related, I just have been pretty inactive since I played football and high school (over 5 years ago).
