I have a G25 on order with amazon but they just hit me with another 2 weeks delay (I been waiting a month already) In the meantime I've read on here that the G25 doesnt have a short-rack option which I'd kinda like.

Should I jump ship and go with the Driving Force GT or hang on for the G25?

Do you want a clutch and H-gate shifter for enjoying the F40 in all its stick shift authenticity? ;)

H stick I'm not so bothered with, prolly use sequential stick or (more likely) flappy paddles.

What the real deal maker would be is a short rack option - does the Driving Force GT have this?

You're in the UK, right? Me too, I was expecting this as it hadn't been despatched by my estimated delivery date (today). Why on earth are these wheels so impossible to come by? Having done quite a lot of ringing around, I'm pretty confident that there isn't a single G25 for sale anywhere in the UK. Virtually everyone on this forum seems to have one, do you all know someone who works for Logitech, or are they plentiful in the US?

I'd also be interested in GT5P players' views on the Driving Force GT, as my patience is ebbing away. How frustrating.

Hello, this has been covered before. I'll move it to the appropriate forum.

We've got a lot of new members here, and I'll use the opportunity to remind everyone to A) try the Advanced Search utility, and B) have a good long look at the Forum Index to see all the different board topics.

Thanks!

Hi all,

while i've read quite a few of these threads, i am pretty fixed on either the G25 or the DFGT, but wanted to see if the cheapest place for the G25 is still amazon.com at $244.98 with free shipping? Any leads would be appreciated. If it's that steep, i may go to the DFGT, but i really want the clutch/sequential shifter.....

I bought a DFGT, I liked it quite a bit, but ended up replacing it with a G25. The FFB is much smoother on the G25, less notchy than the DFGT and the pedals on the G25 smoke the DFGT. The H-gated shifter is also great and the use of the clutch is fun in GT5P, heel toeing bliss! The DFGT was good, but the G25 is great.

If money is not a concern wait on the g25. It's the best mass market wheel made. Why settle for less if you don't have to. I love the g25 and can't imagine not having the shifter and clutch. I get so excited whenever I get out of the gtr or f40 so I can use the clutch and six speed again. It adds a lot to the game.

since you dont care too much for the H stick & clutch, its all up to opinion in build quality.

DFGT is the best plastic/rubber wheel ive ever used but you might like the G25 more because its metal/leather. the pedals on the G25 is also better but in terms of FFB, they seem to be not too far apart based on the on-site reviews.

can we also keep the G25 and DFGT comparisons in one thread? there's alot of them on this site
