G25 pedals not working...

How frustrating, went to play the new seasonals in GT5 with my G25 wheel and everything works except for the pedals. The wheel calibrated properly, got full power to the wheel and all buttons on shifter and steering wheel work, the only things not working are the three pedals (acc. brake and clutch).

I tryed connecting and reconnecting all terminals, cleaned them all out and still the same problem. I then connected the G25 to my computer and again, exactly the same problem.

Has anyone here come accross this problem? I've had this wheel for about 3 years now so it's definatly out of warranty...

Any suggestions? Please help!

Sorry, forgot to add that I only use this G25 wheel 4 to 5 times a month at the most and I've never opened it up or dropped it or spilt any liquids on it...

Have you tried opening the case (for the pedals) and see if the cable connections and push connectors are secured? If not, I would start there.

Definitely looks like a connection issue: that would be the first thing to look at.

1) Check all the wires in detail from what you can see.
2) Check the wires inside when you need to.

You can not be sure where the issue is like this, can you borrow pedals from a friend to see if they have the same issue?

Unfortunatly I don't know any one else near me with a G25, so I can't borrow the pedals. I reckon the problem could be a loose wire, I will inspect closely after work tomorrow. I'll post the result later. Thanks for your help guys!

Ok, I spent a good hour today opening up, cleaning and checking all wiring of my G25. Everything checked out ok so I bolted it all up (I checked both the pedal assembly and the steering assy) and the pedals still won't work! Soooo frustrating! The steering and everything else still works perfectly... but the pedals don't work at all...

Does any one here know any other pedals that work with the G25? Preferably ones you can buy on their own without a wheel (just the pedals)?

Unfortunately the alternatives are incredibly expensive. I'm talking more than twice the retail price of the G27.

Those pedals are awesome but as you said, very expensive...

Humm I was thinking, I'm not sure if the problem is with the pedals or with the pedals controller inside the steering wheel's circuits, I might buy a cheap Xbox360 steering wheel and adapter so I can plug the G25 pedals to it and see if it works. Last I checked there was a shop here in my town that was selling these Xbox360 wheels pretty cheap...

Any other suggestions/comments?

i also just bought a g25 wheel from ebay... the "perfect pedal" was already installed... everything about the wheel works BUT the pedals... was wondering if i had to plug it to my PC and "calibrate" it...

is there even such a thing as doing that... idk, cuz this is my first wheel and would really enjoy trying this out without having to assign the gas and brake to my shifter paddles

I would try opening the pedals. Maybe a wire got cut when they put in the perfect pedal. Thats assuming you have double checked the plugs.
