Today I finally lost the plot with my G25 shifter. Once more it "fell" out of gear. Right I thought its time to do the Chillicoke shifter mod found here>

Anyway I did that and still wasnt happy so back in I went for another look at the situation. Well once I had the shifter appart again I started looking at the BB latch that chillicoke had me put a spacer in. I tried the BB in the holes and found that it hardly goes into them at all. This is why there is hardly any "In gear" feeling.
Ok so the original holes are 4.5mm and I measured the BB and thats 5.5mm so I thought why not drill the holes out to 5mm?
Well I did and its fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive had extra thoughts on this to make it more realistic. I have thought abour removeing the BB "latch" altogether and replacing it with a solenoid operater when the the clutch is pressed! Ill keep you posted on this if I can find such a solenoid!
The only downside is that because of the extra mechanical resistance the shifter is slightly noisier than before. Oh and the mod is Not Reversable. Attempt at your own risk. If your one of those people that manages to drill a 10mm hole with an 8mm drill bit this one isnt for you!
