Hey hey. I tried to search for this topic, but I came up short either with the search terms being too difficult to find the topic that I'm looking for or I'm simply blind.

But to the point, I've been looking at chilicoke's mods. The problem is, the shifter resistance mod didn't mention if it can also be done with a G27 shifter. So has anyone tried to mod the G27 shifter with chilicoke's G25 shifter resistance mod? Or if the G27 shifter has the same or similar skeleton that the G25 shifter mod would apply to it?

Thanks in advance~

I don't have a G27 but I have modded my G25 as-per Chilicokes videos. I'd be very surprised if the mod couldn't be used on the G27.

Pop it open and have a look; you'll have to open it to do the mod anyway so what's the harm! :)

I cant see the G25 shifter being all that different from the G27 shifter.
The only difference is you will not have the metal slide in the G27 shifter as it does not have the option of sequential shifting.

I did the resistance mod on my G25 and I used a stationery rubber to make a spacer for the spring but then I also cut down a piece of rubber so I could fit it inside the spring.
This helped to stiffen the spring much like the nixem mod for the G25 brake pedal spring and it works wonders so far I have used it for a while now and the spring is still as stiff as it was when I first did the mod.

Chilicoke E-brake mod for g25 works for g27 (i have done this myself)

From what i could tell, the shifter "skeletons" and or layout is essentially the same apart from the addon of the sequential option missing on the g27. The part in which you actually do the mod too however looks exactly the same.

Hope this helps
