G25 Steering Issue

Just got a G25 (price was nice :) ) and plugged it into the PS3 and the pedals work and the gear stick but the wheel is dead. Everything is properly plugged in and have tried Grid and NFS:Sfift (not tried GT Prologue yet) but I just can't steer. I also have a flashing power light on the gear stick module but I get that regardless of whether the mains plug is plugged in.

I would think that there is something wrong with the power supply. A flashing light usually indicates that.

The G25 won't work with Gran Turismo 4 for me, weird thing is though it will navigate the menu in options but no where else in the game.

I googeled this but no one seemed to have any trouble getting it to work. Any fixes I saw didn't work, like assigning the controller to the second slot and plugging the G25 into the second USB. I read that V8 Supercars 3 works with the G25 too but I couldn't get that to work either. What can I do to get it to work?

I've been playing prologue with my G25 for a while now and thought I would go back and give GT4 a shot.

I've tried plugging the G25 in to both USB ports, and it wont auto calibrate like it does in Prologue. I have Accelerator and brake pedal in car but no steering input.

any thoughts?

You might need to turn your controller OFF first then plug your wheel into the first usb port, load game then your wheel should work. The only thing you will need your controller for is to exit the game. The reason your wheel isn't working is that the game is reading your controller. Once you go to the menu and set your wheel up the first time your problem should be solved.Which PS3 do you have my G25 wheel works in either port 1 or 3 I'm on a 60gb upgraded to 500 gb PS3. After I've set my wheel up I set the controller to port 2 so I can use it. I've also been able to use the wheel and controller as player 1 at the same time, but if I was you I'd try without the controller until you get everything working.

If you got to my profile page and search my threads you might find more help for your wheel.

Is this what you are looking for? Feel free to print you a copy off. You can also go to "my profile page" (opelgt1969) and see other diagrams like this.

I did reassign the controller to number 2 and the games all knew the wheel existed but just didn't translate any movement on the wheel to in game but it did register gear changes via the paddle shift which was odd.

The wheel does move from side to side as part of what I presume is calibration. Logitech were of no use and right now i am trying to get the company i bought it from to collect and see if they can replace... :(

Have you tried your wheel on a PC to see if the wheel works?
