So I'm in the market for a racing wheel for GT5p and of course the full GT5 when it finally comes to North America. I will also be using it for other games outside the GT series as well such as DiRT 2 and Shift. My only question was really just whether or not the G25 was worth the extra $150. Now obviously I dont want to buy something thats going to break after just a few months, and I was a bit concerned that the DFGT was not of the same build quality as the G25. My other big question concerns the force feedback. I was at an ALMS race in Lime Rock Park and iracing had a booth there where you could try out the game. The wheels that they used were G25's and I really loved the feel of the force feedback. It really seemed to open up a whole new dimension to the physics and the way you drive. Much more immersion. My question is, how does the Force Feedback of the the DFGT stack up against that of the G25? Anyway, thanks in advance. Any help would be appreciated.

hi
I owened both wheels
DFGT is very good. with GT5P it was a bliss ...... but lacking the manual transmission make it seem somthing is missing.... then after 1 year of usage it broked on me....... the gt logo start to flash then it stopped working....called logitech for the broblem ...and they repley saying i should return the whell and they will replace it
and since shipping the wheel back will cost me sooo much i didnt do it
instead i bought the g25
and man i am not regreting it....the wheel is awsome....the clutch is just awsome.....i am building the cockpit right now soo.... i will update you if any thing happened
on other word buy the g25

I imagine the G25 will be much cheaper in the coming months since the g27 is coming. Plus with the turbo s wheel coming out, I imagine that ebay will have some really good used g25 deals.

For what it's worth - I just bought a G25 a few weeks ago for £99 and I absolutely love it. I've played on my friend's DFGT for many hours and I would pay double for my G25 :) It's much more tactile and the feel of the metal and leather is worth it alone. The G25 is quieter, which might contribute to the sensation of a smoother feedback. I couldn't tell you conclusively if there is a mechanical difference between their innards, but I'd guess you get better engineering on the G25. I'm sure someone can tell you the facts.

p.s. I guess this post should be in the wheels forum ;) perhaps it will get moved.
