Has the G25 wheel been discontinued? I went on to the Logitech website the other day and there is no mention of a G25, but the DFGT and DFP are both there. Additionally, I was in EB Games today after someone from Logitech said I could get the pedals by themselves to replace my faulty ones through EB (which was incorrect), and they said they hadn't sold a G25 in months, and they thought Logitech may have stopped producing them? I understand some places might still be selling off old stock to clear out Logitech's warehouse so to speak, but is this true? Is the G25 out of production? Not that I'd consider that a bad thing, the wheel has been nothing but faulty for me since I got it, I'm on my 2nd one as it is and it has whole new problems to the original I had, gigantic waste of money. If anything, reading around and the G25 seems to be quite problematic for a lot of people which to me would suggest a good reason for Logitech to discontinue it, too problematic, too many coming back under warranty.

G25 has been a wonderful wheel for me and has never given me a problem (I know plenty others the same) sorry to hear of your problems. I don't know why it's not on the Australian logitech site, it's on all the others (US, UK etc) and DSE is still selling them.

I am suprised Logitech told you EB sell pedals seperate, I remember hearing from a logitech rep who said they only sell complete units and don't seperate. Which is why when you have a faulty unit inder warrenty they replace the whole thing.

If it is going out of production a replacement would be on the way then I assume (good timing with big racers coming soon), hopefully a clutch wheel that officially has GT support.

I have had repeated problems with my G25 - after about a year & a half of heavy use, mind you. However, I have been able to "fix" them, so far. Really, you're looking at a delicate electronic product that comes under continuous physical "abuse" - not many products like that I can think of.

The problem is, Logitech's warranty only allows for the replacement of the entire system (within the one year warranty period) & then ... nothing. They have no provision for replacement of faulty parts or repair, after the expiry of the one-year warranty. I guess, with a low-cost product like the G25, there's just no money in providing post-warranty service. However, IMO Logitech should have their supply-line structured to be able to provide replacement parts at a reasonable cost.

they stoped production but you can find some on ebay or at your closest pc hardware shops.About the problem it is too sensitive in hard driving and i dont think that replacement part would be good for logitec!!!!!!if you break it buy an other one:P

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but up to now, Logitech have always offered to replace the whole unit (wheels, pedals, shifter) if any part is broken - free if it is within the one year warranty, at a reduced cost if it is out-of-warranty. I just can't understand the logic behind this. Just have extra replacement parts available for free (within warranty) or purchase (after warranty).

I never had any problems with the G25. One time, the shifter didn't go in reverse anymore. I contacte Logitech (EU) and I got a new wheel. The only thing I needed to do was cutting the USB cable and send it to an address in Germany.

If the G25 is discontinued, I hope Logitech will make a new one which is as good or maybe even better than the Fanatec wheels, which means a pedal box with ABS FFB on the brake pedal. Maybe a little dashboard on top of this wheel. No more HUD on screen but a real working dashboard! :sly:

There are rumors of a G27.

Maybe they have stopped producing the G25 and have started producing the G27.....;)

How can you say that you "never had any problems with the G25", when you got a replacement from Logitech?

i want to say that they wouldnt going to sell full units if they had replacement parts BUT now that production is stoped it would be a good idea!

Hmm, only the AU site doesn't list it, that IS wierd.:odd: I agree, spare individual parts should be available, a new wheel costs quite a lot of money. I hope you're right about the G27 coming soon, but for me it's not soon enough because I need to fix my problem with the G25 now.:( I hope they focus on strength and durability with a really sturdy feel for the G27.;)

I expected this quetion. :P

I never had any problems with the G25 (wheel, shifter, pedals), I mean, no mechanical/electronic problems ===> manufacturing faults.

I remember that I dropped the shifter on the floor and since then the problems started. I didn't put the-dropping-on-the-floor and the reverse problems together. I thought it was a manufacturing fault. I called Logitech and I got a replacement. After I got this replacement and after I had cut the USB cable, I thought that I had nothing to loose so I opened the shifter. At the bottom of the shifter is a pressure switch on a little PCB (Printed Circuit Board). One of the connections on this PCB was broken. I soldered a few pieces of copper wire to reconnect this broken connection. It was then that I started to think that it must have been my fault instead of a manufacturing fault. I read on different forums that many people had the problems with the H-pattern part of the shifter. So I thought that I had the same problem as many others (manufacturing fault).

There was still the matter of that the cut off USB cable. Well I had a USB cable lying around and I replaced the cut off USB cable with a new one.

To my surprise, everything worked again and I had 2 perfect working G25's. I sold one and kept the new replaced G25.

I had 2 years waranty! The problems started after I had the G25 more than a year and I still got a new one.

I had an intermitant problem with the throttle pedal sometimes not working.
After contacting logitech they sent me a complete new pedal set and did not want the faulty set back.
I have since then repaired the old set,it was only a wiring connection.

18 months in and still going strong! And it gets a lot of use. :D
