Well, hello everyone.

I've had this G27 ever since march, amazing wheel, especially since the 2.0 update with g27 support came. Now I just wanted to know if there was anybody there that knows a few good setups for beginners? And on what cars?

Thanks

add me on psn B-Raube and send me a rx7 spirit r type A (fd) 02 from the premium and I'll throw a tune on it for you and send it back. great car to drift with g27

Easier and quicker to just share your own RX-7 and let him borrow it and copy the tune to one of his own :)

I have a few reasonably decent tunes for 350 and 370z, Z4m and things like S-bodies, AE86s and MX-5s that are all nice for beginners.

I was using the RX-7 that Mike so nicely tuned for me.
At first I kept spinning because there was too much torque.
It was around 520 BHP, decided to bring it down to 295 BHP which was PERFECT, still had a few failures, but still, a HUGE improvement from how I was drifting before.

I wouldn't recommend an RX7 to learn with.. I'd be going more for Mazda MX5 around 300hp..

I'll tune 1 tomorrow/next day, and send it over. You just add me: powellx234.

want to tune 1 for me too:P?im still learning at hsr,but finally getting really close not making any errors on that s-section..

RX-7 isn't bad for starting out with basic sliding but when you try to push things, it can be a difficult car as its alittle snappy... abit like a real RX-7 actually :)

What MX5 have you got that has 300bhp?!?

Mine are all only around 210-230 but they're still totally full of win! :sly:

Id say you get the PS13 from the dealership, get a tune from the Settings depot and learn to link the autumn ring mini or tsukuba :D

Your thinking of the Eunos Roadster.

But try the MX5, and a bit of power and an LSD. Start there.

Thanks for all the help guys, now I can manage the turns in tsukuba, problem is there are no areas there where I can do transitions, I will try doing it on Autumn ring Mini, but are there any other tracks good for transitions?

you have to get used to the wheel first. all my drift cars with g27 are tuned for controller first. just get your most controllable drifter (with ds3 controller) and then put that car on say... SH tyres, and race it around the track with the g27.

when you do good laps take the tyres down to comfort meds/hards. and turn the ffb on 10, this ill enable you to feel what your looking for in the wheel.

Deep Forest is the track for transitions mate. cheers

Go away SH tires man :)

out of all I said and u only saw SH tyres:ouch:.

beginners on the G27 need to get used to the wheel and the way u need to countersteer it. "Drive" or "race" around track on SH until you get the hang of correcting it AND THEN go down to CH tyres where you'll finally be able to get "started" drifting.

for arguments sake I NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE just CH tyres to drift. Give it a try, if your new to wheels my advice should help you more than a tune or "pretty words"

Nah dude I can drive with the thing, easy. When I first got the wheel back in march I started driving the 370z on comfort hards around the nurburgring.

Pretty much got the hang of it. But now I'm just practicing my drifts on tsukuba.
