Currently, you can buy a G27 from Amazon.com for 260.98, and there is an offer for a manufacturer rebate from Logitech for 60 dollars off the purchase price. The wheel must be purchased from 6/20/10-7/2/10, so there is still about 4 days left in the offer. The rebate must be postmarked by 8/02/10. I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and get one, but I thought I'd let people in on how to save about 100 bucks off msrp.

Link is here

And for clarification, that is USD.

Edit: Now around 180 after rebate.

See I dunno if to bite on that now, or wait about 5 mos and hope for a price drop. :indiff:

The way I see it, the price drop on the DFGT, at least at some places, was to 129.99 from 149.99. For a wheel that is double that, I imagine it will be 249.99 instead of 299.99. Still 50 bucks off that price.

The rebate makes this worth while. But the price of $260 is hardly the best bargain I've ever seen. If you watch Amazon over a period of weeks, at odd times of the day or night, you'd be amazed how the price of electronics varies back and forth, almost on a daily basis. I bought my G27 a few months ago (from Amazon) and paid $238 and was able to apply a $20 'instant discount' I had from past purchases. Ironically, I had see it in the $220 range a month or two before that (but did't have the instant coupon available to me at the time).

I've always detested rebates. And it's usually because I end up being 'that guy' who after 3 months still hasn't received the rebate check and have to end up calling, waiting on hold forever and and then having to re-copy all of the forms and back-up and resending it because they claim they never got it.

Still, $200 is pretty good. And you may not get a better offer in the next few months.

The price is now $239.31 before the $60 rebate. Mine just shipped today. Had a funny feeling it would drop right after I ordered. Grrr.
