Hey guys,

I've done a search but couldn't find anything. After every race when you are awarded XP my G27 wheel turns left automatically every time XP is awarded?? Is it just me?

Cheers đź‘Ť

I think ALL wheels do. Its annoying. How did this get past testing? Seriously.

Its not game breaking, but something you THINK they would have noticed?

I believe this game was played and tested on controllers only. At least it feels that way.

like someone has said NOT a game breaker but if your not paying attention on the start of the next race the wheel is at 9/10 o clock and takes a quick adjustment to centre. :dopey:

TURN OFF VIBRATION IN THE CONTROLLER SETTINGS MENU.

Update your op and title so people will know, thanks.

It does this on all wheels, as far as I know, until you change this setting.

Ok vibration setting turn off sounds good.
Could you tell me if you lose any effects during race or is the vibration setting purely for controller users.

Thanks.

Vibration is only for controller users as far as I know. I actually noticed an improvement in wheel weight feedback when I turned off the vibration; probably due to the vibrations over saturating the feedback. Regardless, it worked for me (DFGT). Let me know if it works for you.

Yes it works. It does away with some track rumble through my G27 though.

I'm running linearity at -3 now too. Feels much better to me around the middle of the wheel. More input for turns needed. Seems a bit more sim like.

Sorry I don't know what you mean. Do you mean turning off the vibration (or FF) within Dirt3 settings OR turning off the rumble from the PS3 settings? If so how because I don't have a PS button on my G27 to get to the controller settings option.

Thanks

This is good to know that you can turn it off. I don't know why they thought sudden jerking of the wheel in a menu was a good idea.

It is in game in options. The setting for controller vibration. This is separate from wheel feedback settings.

It was made for the controller. For whatever reason they chose not to have it auto-off upon use of a wheel.

Sorry for being thick but I don't see the option. When I go into options I see...

Controls
HUD
Audio
Racing style
Profile
Force Feedback

I would have thought it would be in controls but I don't see it. I do see a 'vibration strength' option in the FF settings but surely its not that?

I am currently at work. I will give you more precise instructions when I get home. You may have to turn off the vibration using a controller without a wheel plugged in(this may be what allows the option to pop up). It is a setting that allows controller vibration to be turned on or off. I will post when I get home.

Just done it, was the vibration strength in the FF section. That's a bit crap then? To fix the wheel twitching in the menus I have to turn this OFF which means my wheel no longer vibrates in game. :indiff:
