Hi!

I have started to have some problems with my g27 pedals. It started yesterday with the throttle spiking, so i cleaned the whole pedal mechanism and the potentiometers on the clutch and the throttle. Worked fine right after when i had just put it together.

Now the day after the clutch works fine, but throttle doesnt work at all, and when I press the brake it says that i also press the throttle. As if they where on the same axis, but I am almost certain that i havent missed any setting regarding that.
And if I press the brake to 100%, it says throttle is on 50%.
When I press the brake to 50%, it says the throttle is at 25%
So its linear(?) and the motion is all smooth, so it feels like it should be a setting (or software) problem. which leads me to think i am dealing with two problems i need help with:

Throttle pedal isnt working at all.
When i press the brake it thinks i press the throttle aswell.

Ive tried reinstalling drivers and Logitech profiler several times.

It is possible to combine the throttle and brake axis using the Logitech Gaming Software... or Logitech Profiler...

The potentiometers are 10k if I recall correctly ( someone correct me if I am wrong ) and should be easy enough to replace if they're aging and have too much feedback...

To make sure the pedals are reported on separate axis open Logitech Profiler ( double-click icon in tray when the g27 is plugged in )... Then top menu Options > Global Device Settings > [ ] Report Combined Pedals!!!

Make sure Report Combined Pedals is NOT checkmarked.

If you were in the United States I'd offer to send you one of the USB shifter / pedal adapters I assembled ( open hardware / software ) for $20 plus shipping ( as collateral which would be fully refunded when you return it to me ) to test and then you'd isolate if it is with wheel hardware or the pedals...

Shipping would be too much to Sweden from the United States ( I know to Germany it is killer )...

But, try that also make sure the wires are bent... You could be getting noise if a wire split and that could cause the combined reporting too... One way to test to see if this is your problem is to play with the pedals while manipulating ( bending and rotating and lightly twisting ) the cable all the way down from start to finish... if at one point in the wire while you aren't changing the position of the physical pedal while pressed slightly and you are manipulating the wire and it starts acting up then you will have located the break... You can cut that portion of the wire out and put it back together and see if it fixed it.. if so then order a new wire and take the unit apart and there should be a place to plug it in...

Another way to test, without damaging the wire, if you have a short is to take an ohm meter... Check every pin against every other pin... if you hear a noise ( most have an audible setting ) between 2 pins and they are not common ( such as ground or power ) then you have a short...

Thank you so much for your answer and all your tips! Although i solved my problem the other day by reinstalling all my software and drivers connected to Logitech and all other USB-connected devices. Unplugged and plugged in all wires and cables in the pedals and those going in to the wheel itself. Connected the wheel and calibrated it and it worked perfectly!
