I have been reading through the various posts and I do not yet see any message's on this (so sorry if this is a duplicate). I have the G27 steering wheel which works perfectly with GT5 Prolog but I have not been able to get it to work the NFS Shift. Is anyone able to use the G27 with NFS Shift? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for an alternate wheel?

Thats weird, after like two patches. This wheel should work just fine with Shift already. Like three months ago G27 was still too new toy but now ?? I have no idea.

Anyway instead asking us, ask EA directly.

This seems to be affecting a few G27 users some report the wheel to not work at all and some report that the force feed back is very weak.
This i why i got the g25 instead its set up for most racing games worth playing and pritty cheap now.

Hopefully this problem is just due to the g27 being too new and EA games did not set it up properly for shift and not a problem with the wheel.

I would be extremely greatfull if someone would explain to mehow to find patches. I posted the same question on the Logitech forum and have not received a reply.

Please help!

Patches from game makers, so patches from EA. Game makers must put some code to the game so the game could work with hardware.

Hi all , excuse my french ... lol i have a G27 and i am very happy with it ! there isn't any bugs or problems with NFS SHIFT and the force feedback works perfectly fine .
I am a PC owner and use windows 7 pro 64 bits !
If you have any querries don't hesitate to ask I will be please to help ... ;-)

I just bought one on e-bay, so hopefully I'll be up and running early next week.
Will give impressions then.

Hey, i own a G27 and NFS:Shift and as far as i can tell it works fine on the PS3, from memory i dont think the LED's lit up but everything else.. clutch, paddles, gearbox, FFB etc works fine and i think its a great game when used with the G27. I brought my G27 for GT5 but just picked up Shift 2nd hand for cheap and its pretty good :) Cheers

Yeah ya can but its a button in the gearbox bit that you have to push, unless you can assign buttons i dunno never tryed? But you can always make your own e-break attachment to your cockpit which is my next thing to do :) check my profile page out to see how it is atm

I just received mine.
Instructions suck at best.
I have everything plugged in, including connection to PS3.
Nothing lights up. I loaded the software disc. It's doing nothing:nervous:
Edit:
I must say I will try not to bitch about overseas tech help ever again.
Turns out I had the USB cord plugged into an unassigned port.
It's working fine.

Ok, I know there is a tread, or threads on the subject, though I can't find them.
Can someone provide the link or help inform me on what the specific setting do?
Right now, I'm having a problem with my EVO floating at high speed.
In cockpit view, I see the steering wheel move, yet I'm holding mine straight.
This floating does not happen when using a pad.

Try here for control settings tweaks and here for a run-down on car tuning parameters (ignore what it says about Need For Speed at the bottom, this was before there was an NFS game using the same physics engine :)).
