G29, Do I need to update the firmware?

I recently bought a G29 just for playing GTS, PC2 and AC in PS4 and I was wondering if I have to update the wheel through the PC with the Logitech Gaming Software.
What do you think?

I bought one in early 2016, & I've never done an update. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

that’s what I like about the g29. Great plug and playability. Great out of the box.

I think you can't update firmware in the wheel itself. you can update app on pc, you can change settings and buttons, but it will not save anything for PS4 and will stay saved on PC. Maybe I'm wrong... But I've tried...
