G29 on PS4

I'm struggling to get the G29 running on the PS4 - any advice how to setup the wheel, any download I have overlook. so far I restarted the PS4 several times, I downloaded the latest SW version on the PS etc.

Set the wheel in PS4 mode , turn on the console , Press PS - button on wheel , log in as your preferred username. Done.

Here's a longer step by step walk through:

Connect the wheel cables , plug in the wheel to power socket , connect the wheel to PS4 with the USB cable.
Set wheel to PS4 mode (right) The mode (PS3 - PS4) changer is located between d-pad & X , square ect. buttons on top/behind the wheel itself.
There is a small led light next to the mode changer.

Turn on PS4 using the DS4 controller , select your preferred username/account.
Press PS button on the wheel.
Re-select your preferred username/account.

Start the game.

thanks Max, finally the wheel works. it turned out that a USB cable extension I used was the problem. the finally hint was the green light you mention in your replay which did not work before. once I connected the G29 directly to the PS4 everything worked as you described. many thanks

No according to the Rockstar support forums GTA V doesn't support wheels on PS4.

Probably best to ask these kind of things in the GTA section.

I tried the crew but it doesn't work. so does the crew. Does the crew 2 work?

Yeah the Crew 2 does support G29 on PS4. If it's hardware issues you're having there's a forum for that too. People there will know loads more than I do.

Does not work for me. . Trying to play rocket league but the steering wheel on the G29 is not responsive when I get into the game. The buttons are only responsive when I’m in the PS4 menu. Is there a racing mode and a gamepad mode like the Thrustmaster T80 racing wheel? Bought that one as a back up and got it to work by searching the normal (gamepad) mode.
