Hey, i know that g29 is recognized as a dfgt and clutch and shifter wont work.
Playing on g29 is exact the same as on g27 or not?

I don't know the answer to that, but can confirm that the G27 and G25 both have clutches that work in GT5/GT6. I forget what wheel I selected in GT5 but I think GT6 has a direct setup for the G27.

I don't know the differences between the G27 and G29 though.

Not much other than software changes and a slightly improved brake pedal, really. The thing Logitech did that screws over PS3 and PC users is that the wheel emulates itself as a DFGT. So when you're in the Logitech Game Profiler on PC for example, you won't be seeing the G29. Instead, you'll be seeing a DFGT. And as you probably know, the DFGT didn't come with a clutch or a shifter so plugging in your shifter into the G29 will have no effect. (I think the G920 (the Xbox version of the G29) is fully compatible on PC.)

For GT6, there shouldn't be a big difference between DFGT settings and G27/9 settings. You still have the Steering Sensitivity and Torque sliders. Force feedback-wise, the G29 should feel 99% like the G27 anyways.

I bought a G29 just before Christmas to try an improved product over my aged DFGT. It is by far a much more superior wheel, but on my PS3 I can only use the paddle shifters, which is a shame. If I spin off I find it annoying I can't use the stick shift to quickly select 1st to drive out of the ditch like I could on the old wheel.

So, what's a good driving game for PS4 that'll let me enjoy the stick shifter PLUS those cool LED rev warning lights??

Possibly because it is recognised as a DFGT the force feedback is lower in GT6 from a G29 than a G25 - perhaps my friend @IfAndOr can comment further as I believe he has both wheels.

As a G29 user having replaced my G27 I wish i could use the H-pattern gearshift in GT6 to bide my time for GT Sport but yes it is recognised as a DFGT in settings menus. For me at least, it's always more fun, engaging and satisfying to use the 6-speed gearbox instead of the paddle shifters, especially when driving the Lotus 97T around the Nurburgring. I doubt PD will release a patch for full G29 configuration but I'd be overjoyed if they did.

I'm glad I found this thread, thanks for the input everyone. I am planning on ordering a G29 today to upgrade form my DFGT and was curious about the clutch/shifter.
So, are we sure that GT Sport on PS4 will have the clutch/shifter support?
Thanks again for the help.

Polyphony hasn't explicitly stated there will be support for a clutch + H-shifter for GT Sport, but I don't see why they wouldn't include it considering their previous games had it.
