Time to upgrade from my DFGT wheel. Right now on Amazon Prime the G29 is only $50 more than the T150 which I originally had my sights on, but I think the clutch would result in a $200+ stand upgrade which I don't want to do. Besides, is the clutch even worth it without a stick shift unit to go with it (another what, $75 or so)? Doesn't seem like it would make sense to use the paddles.

The plastic pedals are the only perceivable downside I've read on the T150, but overall I've heard it's a great deal.

Has anyone used both and have some feedback/preference?

Thanks

Moved from DFGT to T150, apart from the first one breaking within 30 days (Took it back and Curry's replaced with no argument) I've no complaints, the pedals are better than the DFGT's and the paddle shifters click is hugely satisfying noise compared to the DFGT simple buttons.

Actually thinking about it one gripe, not enough buttons, couldn't tell you if its better than G29 though.

G29 is a big upgrade to the DFGT. Mine was so quite I thought the gears were broken! I would have bought a T150 but by the time I'd gone on Amazon to take advantage of a deal on it I was too late and it was over. There was a new offer on for the G29 so I bought that instead. The T150 will allow you to add better pedals and a good gear shifter should you want one.

The upgraded parts sound interesting. Also good to hear even the T150 standard pedals are better, but for upgrades does that mean they could be replaced with metal ones? I'm pretty new to the wheel scene in general but have used the DFGT across GT5 & 6. It served me very well but yeah it was kinda loud and stiff.

Almost sounds like I'd be spoiled by even going to the T150. I'm leaning that way since I don't plan on buying a shifter module which is what seems to be the G29's big advantage. With clutch gameplay, does the car sound like a manual transmission between shifts too - ie can you tell tonally when the gears are engaged/disengaged?

In any case I think that's something left for when I'm actually good at the game in general haha.

T3PA Pro pedals and TH8A shifter are both almost all metal construction and are both compatible. Game sounds vary between developers and some are better than others. It is personal preference of course, but the cars that I find most enjoyable to drive are those that are fully manual with heel-and-toe downshifting.

Yes,all the pedals from Thrustmaster are compatible with T150.

DFGT vs. T150-The torque is about the same. The rotation speed of the wheel is about the same and the internal friction of the driving mechanism is also about the same.Because of dual gear/belt driving mechanism the T150 is more quiet and you will not feel the gears as with DFGT.The T150 paddle shifters are much better and the cooling is better thanks to the fan inside the base compared to DFGT.The resistance of the T150 pedals is slightly better and the resolution is 10bit compared to DFGT 8bit,but mine T150 pedals had big dead zone at the beginning of the travel.

The wheel is fair, I have one ( T150rs), but pedals are garbidge. I dont have G29 and ill never again buy logitech.

I absolutly agree. I did love logitech g27, after owning g27 and fanatec gt3 both at the same time I've found to be about 2sec.faster on Nordschleife lap with g27 - with Gran Turismo. G27 was just directly optimised for.

But not just about speed, feel of fanatec was too mute and numb, while g27 was constantly chatering feedback information to me (no, i dont mean sound of gears inside g27, but actual constant tiny movements of the wheel) - where fanatec was just numb and dumb. Also fanatec felt more like driving a truck, much heavier then light and nimble g27.

But i will never again buy anything from logitech. BECAUSE it was not Sony's fault for not renewing licence towards next gen consoles - Just as logitech paid both Sony and Immerssion (for use of their feedback tech.) at time of PS2 for use on PS2 and "ONE future generation" meaning PS3 it was their duty to their customers to extend it for this gen.

So i dumped logitec forever and switched to Thrustmaster. Why? Because they actualy payed for T500 both to Sony and Immerssion for this gen. T500 is only Trustmasters wheel to use Immerssion tech. (that i know) it would be cheap and easy for them to dump it but they did not. 👍

T150 and TMX also use Immersion.

Hi! Myself got a T150, and i really like it.
There's 2 things that maked my go to the T150 instead of a G29

1- ability to change on the fly the degrees of the wheel (G29 can't) and that T150 goes up to 1080 degree (G29 900)

2- Shifter from TM is way better, and can be putted in 2 positions, H and sequential, also the ability to upgrade the pedals is nice..

You have also now the T150 PRO pack that comes with the better T3PA pedal set...(highly recommended)

Also, i let you here a video from inside simracing that is a wheel buying guide for PS4 and can be interesting for you.

The only thing with the T3PA is it seems like you'd also need the shifter add-on since it doesn't make sense to use paddles with a clutch? I think I'd be set with the T150 base model for now.

TBH I found it cheaper to buy the T150 pro.
You don't have to buy another set of pedals that will probably cost more than the $50 you'd save not getting the set with the clutch.
I didn't have a shifter for 2 months but it was literally plug and play when I could afford it. $150...

I have a T150 and am very satisfied with it, both the wheel and the pedals. I can't compare it to the G29, but I had a Fanatec wheel and pedal set which cost 3 times as much several years ago and I'm more satisfied, considering the prices, with the T150. The Fanatec pedals took extreme acts of force to push down to 100%, and the software drivers on PC weren't great.

Got a T150 yesterday after my G29 stopped working. Not impressed at all with it. The pedals are complete rubbish. The wheel has pretty good force feedback and nice button position, but now I have experienced both my advice? Get a G29. It is so much better in every other way. I need to get mine fixed ASAP.

Or you could get the adapter that allows you to use your G29 pedals with the T150.

For a tenner its got to be an option?
