G29 wheel with g27 shifter on ps4

I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet or not but will the logitech g29 wheel and pedals work with the g27 shifter on gt sport? I'm buying the g29 this week and want to avoid spending an extra $100 if I can just use the shifter from the g27. Thanks in advance for the help.
