Gallardo Handling Issue

I would rate myself as above average at car tuning in GT games so this has me puzzled.

I've bought a Gallardo and added the following components only:
Weight Reduction/Windows/Bonnet
Race Custom Suspension
All DriveTrain upgrades (not transmission)
Racing Softs

When I take it round the HSR I cannot get it round the first corner without the rear letting go.

Now if this was because I was going too fast then the gear indicator would be flashing, but it never comes on. Besides, this happens at under 150mph and the Gallardo should handle this on base settings.

I've tuned everything for maximum rear grip, even to the point where it barely turns in anymore, but the back just lets go unexpectedly.

I've taken the settings to the extreme of high front/low rear ride height and max stiff front springs/max soft rear springs and it still does it.

Is anyone else having this issue? It seems like a bug to me. There used to be a similar issue in GT5 where the gravity/grip ration was wrong on some cars and this was fixed with a patch.

This happens in lounge or free run modes.

Diablo & avantador are the same ... pretty much undriveable ... even with wing and full downforce the rear is way too snappy.. steps out at 45 mph .... some serious flaws in the new tyre model i think

I just bought a Ferrari 458 Italia and put Racing Hards on and changed the oil.

I made no other changes and it goes round the first corner of the HSR at 180MPH with a bit of care. So there is definitely an issue with the Gallardo or one of the Mods I have done, which isn't a lot.

The Ferrari handles as I would expect. Its twitchy and if I lift off the throttle too far in mid corner then I can produce lift of oversteer, but this is all normal and the Lambo doesn't behave like this at all.

Can't say anything about the sounds because I don't physically nor digitally have a copy of the game. Just sounds like the physics are working if a car that is ass-heavy doesn't want to put its ass back in place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a lot of Lamborghinis terrible at handling? Besides, MR and RR can be hard to keep in line, the rear (which is heavier) will always want to be in front, so oversteer will happen. I'll get a gallardo when I get home from work and test a bit, but I bet it will be prone to oversteer.

The Gallardo is 4WD and in GT5 handles like a dream. If anything it 4-wheel drifts which is manageable. In GT6 the rear just goes, no warning, no coming back!

I just put some stuff in a different thread. Raise diff deceleration to high 40s

Lower rear springs below 9 or as close a you can. Put front spring higher than rear.

3s for compression
6 4 for extension
6 2 for brakes.

The suspension is to hard and set way to high in he rear. Also need

These types of numbers helped me out.

I got my Diablo GT driveable and m. Ferrari fxx is awesome like this

You guys have to remember that in every GT there are some cars that just don't add up right. It's like PD just assumes everyone is going to tune their cars so why do they have to get them accurate from the get go.

Would omeone be so kind as to test a NSX R 02 at high speed ring for me it does seem like the car is glitched out with racing hard tyres. i can also get better lap times with sport soft then racing soft at hsr.

to the op......try using sport soft tyers on the gallardo.

I believe there are flaws in there design of simulation, probably some of their formulas do not apply to all situations.

I used my 91 NSX for the Internationl B final championship race at the High Speed Ring. Also had issues with the rear end losing it, a bunch of setup changes helped but did not fix it, I simply had to drive it carefully. Racing hard tyres were worse than Sports Softs for me.

The Lamborghini's were like this in GT5 too, never have been particularely stable at high speeds. In my NSX the High Speed Ring is the only circuit where it's even an issue.

I haven't tried in GT6, but in GT5 I fixed the handling of my LP-640 by purchasing the power distributor and made it so the front and rear both got 50:50 power. This made it act a bit more like a typical all wheel drive.

From memory the Lambo was 20:80 bias towards the rears when stock.

thanks for the reply i dont know about the 91 nsx, but on the 02 nsx r i set the lsd 10/5/60 (crazy i know) racing suspension stock i just put .4 front .8 rear camber and it is wickid at appercot hills.

I haven't tried race tires yet, but I've been driving the 91 NSX with Sports Hard tires, and it handles much more predictably than any MR car in GT5 did with non-racing tires. The Europa is still extremely twitchy on sports tires, though.
