game freezes at garage without 1.01 update

guys,
i know im going to get hated on right now but i dont have all the time in the world to play games anymore so anyways i figured i would try and do the 20 mil glitch, when i go back into the without the 1.01 update to sell the mercedes the game freezes at the garage screen so i turned off the system and tried again and same thing happened , anyone else had there game freeze there

IGN explained this, you have to make sure it's NOT your currently selected car before you delete the patch. your game save is ruined and you get to start over now

Reinstall the 1.01 update and change your car to any but the AMG and you're good to go.

Same thing just happened to me.
Had to re-install the patch to change from the MERC.
Did that, but now when I try to sell the MERC. the trade in price is 300,000
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong at all ?

You need to buy Merc's or BMW M4's in 1.01, but make sure you in a 1.00 car like the fit
And sell them 1 at a time in 1.00 and get 20M each.
Its best to buy as many M4's as you can, and sell 1 for 20M buy the cars you want, so your broke, then sell another M4 for 20M etc. repeat until you have all the cars you want, ideally your want 40-60 M4's if you want all the 1M+ cars

Note never get in a 1.01 car in 1.00 just sell from garage.

Ok so since I have now reinstalled the patch, and I have the MERC :
Do I need to change to a 1.00 car, then uninstall the patch, then go back into the game, and then I will get 20M for the MERC - is that correct ?

Yes that's correct, as said, its best to buy as many MERC's and M4 as possible, so you can sell multiple cars in 1.00 and get 20M each time, without having to keep removing and installing the patch.
The MERC and M4 will show up as 2405 or simulator number, I guess the game save just stores the car # that it then uses on a look up in the car database, so they must have a database for 2400+ cars

Found some pocket change and bought a few more M4's - uninstalling patch as we speak
Will post my result here for the benefit of other punters with no morals still thinking about doing this.
