ok well i like this game alot the graphics are amazing and the licensed cars and tuning is amazing.

BUT! i think the handling / gameplay sucks. is there any settings i can do to make it better ? sorta like the original ridge racer or need for speed ? cuz right now the cars turn like turtles and ****..

GT4 is not for you. Period.

NFS-style games are ARCADE games. Meaning they are non-simulation.
The problem is not setting-related, it is with you.

Tires have a limit for grip. Arcade-style games have a high limit. If you like that, that's fine. Just keep in mind you can't drive like you do in NFS in real life :) (even though GT4 isn't 100% realistic).

Edit: I really hate it when people don't even stick around for an answer.

I am here , sir i was taking a trip to jack in the box. :sly:

and i understand that it is more realistic i was just wondering if there was a possible way of making it more of a high grip for "fun factor" but if there isnt ill just have to learn i realise GT requires alot more skill then NFS / arcade style games.

Thank you for your feedback.

Familiarize your self with how the car handling with stock suspension(not default setting of any suspension mods). After you can enjoy stock suspension, you can start messing around the suspension :).

honestly, I think that in terms of a "driving simulator" GT really doesn't get the handling down. It's hard to explain, or even pinpoint, but there is just something wrong, and it detracts from my overall experience. Don't get me wrong, there is definitely a high level of realism in it, but a few other games have done it better

If you want a more arcade-like feel, just race in Arcade mode! And be sure to fit the cars with R5 tyres, they give you unreal grip levels!
In arcade, you can also choose to add more power, and take away weight for more arcade-like handling.

luftrofl

That's a very excellent synopsis.

I really like the RR series. Though you can't pay me to play a NFS game past HPSII.

But cars just don't drive like that. GT4 doesn't have it down 100%(as mentioned) but it's much closer to realistic times then RR or NFS could ever dream of being. But that's ok, I like a good Arcade racer every now and again myself:)
