Gamertag region problems

Well, I guess you have all heard about it already, startup a Xbox gamertag and your region is locked according to the mailaccount you choose to register.

As such i'm stuck with a Belgian account in Spain (thanks for warning me in advance when choosing the mailadress microsoft...).

That means no possibility to buy DLC or get a gold membership (am i right?).

I have already played Forza for countless hours the past 3 weeks, and apart from the 150 cars i already own, just started receiving R1's as gifts levelling up to level 50. My in game progress is not that far tough.

Here's my questions:

- Is there still no way to change the region of your gamertag?
- Is it possible to buy and download DLC with a newly created account, AKA the DLC is available to all accounts on the same console, so i can use it with my old profile?
- Is it advisable for me to start over again on a new account alltogether, so i can get the gold membership, or should i stick with my old one and get the DLC with the trick above as the gold membership is not worth restarting?

You can ask the MS support but I don't think it's possible.

Most DLC is available to all accounts on the first console you download the content.
Some DLC is locked to a single account e.g. VIP membership in FM4.

Afaik MS points from Europe can be used with every European account.
You can buy MSP or XBL Gold locally and use it with your foreign account.

Or you start all over with a new account. I wouldn't use different accounts for DLC and savegames.

Thanks for the help, problem is that i can't use my credit card, as its a spanish one and my gamertag profile is also automatically set for a belgian credit card (different quantity of numbers etcetera).

Didn't know that the XBL Gold membership was not region locked, but i think the only way for me to get the gold membership, with my current gamertag, is with not using a credit card. Do they sell prepaid gold membership cards in stores, like for the MS points? So i can get it that way?

If so that means i can have all the DLC cars, and the Gold membership on my current profile, which is all i need actually .

They sell MS points cards in stores. You're better off not attaching a card to your account anyway, because it's next to impossible to remove it, and they make it a hassle to disable auto-renew.

Well i've decided to start over again with a spanish profile so i can get it right from the start, and won't have any problems afterwards.

The game is so much fun anyway, it doesn't really matter .

About the MS point cards, i already knew, I only wasn't sure if the gold membership worked in the same manner.

I noticed auto renew already, for example i had the chance, (but couldnt do it anyway with the credit card region problem of my profile), to have 2 months of gold membership for 2 euros as a trial, but when i checked it it immediatly would have renewed the contract afterwards.

When is this auto renew the most tricky then? when you use your credit card, because you mention it would be tricky attaching a card to your profile?
