Hi GTP,

Since taking ingame pictures is becomming more and more important I would like to create a list with games that have an actual photo mode.

With all the pictures here at GTP many can express their creativity and share their techniques with fellow virtual photographers.

I hope you can help me with creating/maintaining a list.

Project Cars has a photomode on PS4 and XB1.

I think it can be added because although options are limited, there is à camera which adds more liberty to the player then the single screenshot captures.

Actually, thinking about it now that I've woken up properly, the four PS4 titles I mentioned don't actually have a photomode as such - I do apologise for that, they just have the screen capture options.

You can add Resogun to the PS4 list for full photomode - I'd completely forgotten about that one

If I'm honest, I think it would make more sense to put the games on both systems under "multi-platform" as opposed to listing the same game multiple times.

Or better still, list all the games alphabetically and after the name put in brackets the system they're on. Much less clutter IMO.

I'm surprised how many racing games are on the list though. Respect to GT4 for kicking off the trend 👍

How strange that Alien Isolation and Far Cry 4 don't have the simplified photomode on Xbox.

Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) will have a photo mode too - when it comes out in a few weeks - though it's doubtful that it'll be a full mode.

Multiple options for taking pictures instead of only possibility of snapping a screenshot by pausing game. I'll change the name because I admit it is confusing.

Horizon Zero: Dawn's photomode with the developers, I'll probably spend hours at a time in it.

@RacerBest I tried the Crew for a while and it was good at the time and I took many photos but overall the graphics are not as good as some other games out there.👍

DOOM2016 - has a full photomode

Not yet, Witcher 3 is one of the games due in the windfall later this month (got a bit of spare cash then in the form of a length of service works bonus.) I think it just has screen shot functionality, no actual photo mode.

DiRT Rally unfortunately has a simple rotating camera that can only pan around the car. There aren't any of the other axes associated with free camera unfortunately, such as roll, up or down which we do get with Milestone. A real shame really.

Might be a good idea to request a photomode from devs via social media for games that don't have it at present. Would love to see what you guys could do with Beyond Two Souls.

These days a photomode has almost become something essential in a game. It adds a lot to longlivety and it has become a different way of enjoying games. I am praying for a photomode in Nier Automata but so far no official answer, or better said complete radio silence
