Gameshark trouble

Hey pepl i just bought my gameshark about a month ago and i try putting on codes for toykyo extreme racer and every time i put it one and load the game it locks up i dunno what to do i already finished the game with out um but i wanna do up a car fully right away so i can waste all the racers that gave me trouble before

In TXR0 you can only do it once..................Only at the beginning of the game...............................................Its Odd I know............My Game Shark is in the Trash
