OMG! I can't believe this! He died way to young. This guy was amazing. Be it fast metal or slow blues, this guy did it all. He's in my tops five all time best guitarist list.

This was the first guitar solo of his that I first learned. Amazing artist has just been lost forever.

He was one of my favourite, if not my definite favourite guitarists, i learned to play guitar with songs like Parisienne Walkways and Still Got the Blues, he will be much missed, never got to see him live and always planned to.

Well it's been six months. Why this didn't even make it to the second page while all the bandwagoners "mourned" Amy Winehouse, I'll never know.

Maybe Gary is just too brilliant for any page.

Seriously though, it is sad that not much notice was taken of such a massive loss. :(

My thoughts exactly. Not much reaction to Les Paul's death either.

Considering that if it wasn't for his innovations, the face of music would not be the same. But Amy Winehouse... Well that was just much more tragic /sarcasm. :yuck:

Seriously, each to their own tastes whether it be music/films/other interests. It just pains me to see people who made such a huge contribution to the music world get largely ignored, whilst someone who built a career off of her drug abuse (and really did absolutely nothing new) gets hyped up.

Completely agree. I didn't see anything anywhere when Ronnie James Dio died, except on Iron Maiden's site. I bet when a lot of the best die they'll be ignored too
