This is an interest check thread for a GT4 European Series league that would run for 6 months, starting in February or March 2025. Below are some of the details. If you are interested in participating, comment on this thread and keep checking back for updates. Once we have enough people on board, an official thread will be posted. Everything below is considered a work in progress, and comments & suggestions are welcome! It would be cool if we can make this work, I think it would make for a great experience. 😎

The real SRO sanctioned GT4 events typically run 2 races per weekend, with each race being 60 minutes. Each car has 2 drivers, with a driver change around the half way mark in each race. Unfortunately due to GT7 not having driver changes as an option, we will have to do this a different way:
  • Driver 1 qualifies for and races in Race 1 (60 Minutes)
  • Driver 2 qualifies for and races in Race 2 (60 Minutes)
  • The "driver change" pit stop in each race will become a tire change
The season will consist of 6 total events, one event per month. However, each event will include 3 weeks of activities:
  • Week 1: Official practice sessions & Qualifying for both drivers (45-60 minutes required per driver)
  • Week 2: Race 1 (Driver 1 - 15 minute warmup, 60 minute race)
  • Week 3: Race 2 (Driver 2 - 15 minute warmup, 60 minute race)
We could narrow this down to 2 weekends per event if necessary. Championship points structure will follow the IRL GT4 European series format. Weather during the races will be based on the real weather forecast for that weekend. Rain races are a possibility!

Now here is where this gets even more unique. There is NO OFFICIAL BOP! How are we going to keep the cars equal? Like this:
  • Each event will have a minimum lap time requirement - a lap time you cannot go faster than
  • Each car will have a "recommended" power & weight provided to you that gets you close to those times
  • It is up to each team to adjust the power and/or weight for each event to ensure they stay above that time
  • Keep in mind that slipstream may factor into the possibility of going too fast - adjust accordingly
  • There will be time penalties for going faster than the minimum time - race replays will be checked if necessary
The cars will be built using these standard street production vehicles:
  • Nissan Z Performance '23
  • Toyota GR Supra RZ '20
  • BMW M4 '14
  • Mercedes-AMG GT R '17
  • Alpine A110 '17
  • McLaren 650S '14
  • Aston Martin V8 Vantage S '15
  • Ford Shelby GT350R '16
  • Audi R8 Coupe V10 Plus '16
  • Porsche Cayman GT4 '16
Each driver on every team will need to build their car, then one driver will need to create a livery/style and share it with the other so that they have visually identical cars. The power & weight can be adjusted to suit each driver if necessary.

We might do a classing system (Silver, Pro-Am only) if there is any interest. Which would be sorted by using the in-game rating system.
  • Silver - Both drivers ranked S, A+ or A
  • Pro-Am - One S, A+ or A driver and one B, C, D, or E
There will be a total of 15 slots open for competitors. The 16th lobby seat will be reserved for a Safety Car driver as we will be doing a rolling start for each race, and possible use of Safety Car if a major incident occurs. (Will need a single Safety Car driver for Race 1 - I will drive it for Race 2)

This thread will be edited as I work out the details, but let me know if you are on board!
