Like the title says, just gauging interest.

V8 Supercar Series. Still have to do some testing, but it will be 4 door RWD 650 HP and same weight regs. Right Now looking at the Mercedes-Benz C63, BMW M5, and Lexus ISF. But like I said, I still have to do some testing to see how they match up.

Sounds interesting. But is'nt 650 hp a bit to much? Why not try to keep it closer to stock specs? M5 is powered by a V10.

A few others (don't know if it's V8's in all of them):

E55 AMG, Jaguar S-type R, Lotus Carlton, Tom's X540 CHASER, AUDI RS6 '02/'08, AUDI S4 '03, Chevrolet Camaro SS '10, Dodge Challanger SRT8, Infiniti G35 Sedan '03, Nissan Skyline 350 GT-8 '02/'06.

EDIT: AUDI's are 4WD, I know :)

I thought about doing a series using the Falcon XR8 Supercar in the game. Problem is everyone would have the same car so the replays would look weird. Same with everyone having the same car on track. Could make for some good racing though...

You should use the Holden Commodore, considering it is a car in the V8 Supercar series, though it might not reach 650 HP

PS: 650 isn't too much, the V8 Supercars have 600-650 HP

If the VE Series was in GT5 this would be a mint comp!
And Bathurst would make me forget GT5's other short comings!

Come to think of it i dont think id race any other track much..

Yea, V8 Supercars run 600+ HP, but since the cars mentioned can't be RM'd, it would probably look more like a stock car champioship, and in that case, I'd say that 600+ HP is a bit to much.

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, just need to straigh out a few twists first. For one, it's impossible to race a V8 Supercar against an M5 E60 with a rear wing.

A race car vs a stock car can not race eachother. Would've been awsome with the same diversity for V8 Supercars as for the Super GT cars in the game. 👍

Did some testing earlier. I'm leaning towards the BMW M3 vs Chevy Camaro vs Mercedes C63 AMG. All aero would be allowed, and all cars would be around 555 PP.

Wheres PD and Kaz from?....kinda obvious where their priorities lie in terms of what they want to put in GT.

They're from Antarctica, right? Seriously, though, it's pretty short-sighted to pay so much attention to Japanese cars in this series when perhaps 10% of the people who play GT5 give a damn about them...

Its pretty short sighted to have wasted so much time on the 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Supras, Skylines, etc they put in no one gives a peanut coated turd about and run out of time to put the FIA GT and DTM cars they were working on into GT5....

If you limit the PP, I think it would be great to use any V8, RWD car with no front downforce and it would open things up a bit for different cars and create some real close competitive racing. I'd be up for that, but I'm not available every other weekend so I'd only be in if it was weeknights.

Looking at the BMW M3 vs the Chevrolet Camaro. Both V8, 2 door, RWD, 6 speed. Couldn't really find any other cars in the dealership that fit the V8 Supercar "look" and run competitive times. PP ended up at 561.

Well, considering there are only two 4 door V8's in the dealership and they are both 7 speed cars and they're times aren't competitive to one another, yes.

Trying to stick with the premium cars. Used "standard" cars are hard to come across unless you know someone that can dupe it for you. The Jag is more of a sports car body style than a touring car.

I wish they would have just made premium versions of the Commodore and the Falcon =/

Ok, I understand that you want to stay to the premium models. But since the amount of cars to pick is limited, adding the standards would make the grid much more diverse.
