Hi Guys
Can anyone help me with optimum gear settings for my CZ-3 Tarmac Rally car for Grand Canyon Hard please. I picked this car as it seems to be the only car I have a chance to win this race with ... I am still very much a B grade driver & can not drive in manual . Car is fully modded & although happy with my suspension I would welcome any other tunes to try.:dunce:

I purchased a new Ford Focus Rally car & it did the job very well & I even took my Ram to get my 200 A spec points & cleaned them up as the AI not as competitive when not risking a prize car.

What sort of lap times are you running?

Because my old RX-8 ran around it (with 320hp, no less!) quicker than my 494hp Subie.

My only real advice (not having the car) is to try to keep away from big angles unless it's a car you "trust", and to gear it as close as humanly possible if it shifts relatively quick. (I traditionally set my final to the max and then drop the autoset down to 1, like in the tranny trick, but I then either run my generic gearset or I make 1st-3rd taller, 5th and 6th shorter, and use 4th to split the difference. Ideally, you'd want less spread between the higher gears than between the early gears. After you have the ratios to where you want them, then drop the final if it tops out too early. If it's still too tall in 6th, drop the final lower, set autoset to 1, redo the individual ratios, and adjust final accordingly.)

When I say a car you "trust", I mean one that you can toss into that corner at a big angle, keep on throttle, feed countersteer, and KNOW that it is gonna come out without snapping or keeping the angle.

Hope I was of *some* help. I suck on dirt, BTW. (Although my highest finish in any sort of challenge online was on dirt *D'OH!*, so I guess I can say I suck on tarmac even more.)

Dangit, now I want to go rallying! In something rear engine... Time to win the Alpine again!

I will have to try the RX-8 💡 I have since completed G/Canyon Hard with a Ford Focus Rally car & then took my Ram around to pick up the 200 Aspec points..:):sly:
Will try your tranny settings & see if they can improve my acceleration..💡
