H, i'm after a gearbox tune for my turbo charged Mazda 787B for Le Mans no chicane. Currently I have 235mph from a tune from RVR Racing (think it is them), anyone have a faster tune?

Just play around with the gears. Set a top speed of about 279mph then lengthen gears 2,3+4 then make gear 5 short(This will decrease max speed). Ignore the power curve graph its wrong and ignore any one who gives you an actual gearbox tune...Even some of the "pro" tuners here are clueless on how to set the gears. Just test your car down straight a few times. If you feel a certain gear is feeling sluggish (acceleration) or you think you could get a few more mph out of a gear adjust them individually. My 787b does 245mph without a slip stream on La Sarthe with no chicanes(787b not the fastest either). Also don't forget lower car and to soften springs(not too much) and increase damping as well, i also run very low downforce compared to others.

i wish i could help you, but i'm still in the process of replacing my blu ray laser. to the guy above me, your way to funny. clueless on how to set gears? it's really not that hard and numerous of guys here have great transmissions. i never really raced any of the le mans, mostly 550PP street cars. OP, 1. lowering a car isin't always better, less downforce gives a higher top speed, but will at some point effect your conering speed. The higher the car sits the faster you go as well, but this will also effect your conering speed. For gearing moving the individual gears left will net you more speed (if your redlining). Moving gears right will give your car better acceleration (this can be good and bad, your top speed will be lower. And you'll have a greater chance of possibly spinning your tires if hard on throttle coming out of a corner). Once you have got a pretty good idea you can adjust the final. The final will effect all gears at the same time (though they wont move on screen, you will notice your overall top speed increasing/decreasing). Also lowering your car you won't want soft springs as you will more the likely bottom out. the lower your car the stiffer the springs should be. higher grip tires should have a stiff spring rate where less grip tires should have a softer spring rate with a slightly lowered ride height. hope this helps you out a bit.

At LaSarthe you want to be a as low as possible with the softest possible spring rate(you don't want to bottom out). At LaSarthe if your springs are too hard you loose a little speed because the ride is rough. The higher a ride height you have less top speed(drag) and cornering ability(centre of gravity).
I ignore "pro" tunes because i believe i gearbox must be set up for each individual track.
