Hi everybody. I wanna know up to what point you guys tune your cars?
I mean what parts do you install, max power or do you change to turbo 2.
My objective is a powerfull car that still has a comfortable power range.

I eithr go full on or don´t tune at all. Most cars are best left alone IMO, but I have two GT4 saves, so in one, all cars are stock, and in the other I tune and test alot of things. Like 300 mph settings, Nürburgring setups and so on. But all setups are fully tuned, for maximum speed.

It really depends on what you're after... I mix and match stock cars, mid moded cars, and fully moded cars... It all depends on what you're after. I like to hang around the 500hp mark for power and play around with various tire and shock set ups... To this day I wish you could add anti-roll bars to the semi rcing set ups:ouch:

The one thing I miss from the original Gran Turismo, the ability to buy Anti-roll bars as a seperate item. That way you could fit them to a stock car or mix and match with any suspension set upi you wanted.

The only game in the GT series to allow you to do it was the original, I hope they bring it back for GT5 (but I have wished that ever since they took it out).

well, nowadays I usually drive stovk cars, that way there's more challenge. it was extremely entertaining to defeat NSX typer R'02 witl stock MR2'86..

Depends what you are after and what you want to do with it but I really like lightweight NA roadsters like the RUF 3200, BMW z4, TVR Tamora and the Amuse s2000 at about 450 bhp.

I don't do much racing in Gran Turismo Mode anymore. My playing pretty much consists of 2P battles with one of my friends. We have Nurburgring duels, and just use different cars.

Rather than go the route of 'Stage 4 turbo, R5 tires and try to keep the car facing straight,' my friend and I go for moderate tuning levels with S3 tires.

For a short while, I was able to win consistently with a Stage 1 turbo R34 GT-R with 'only' 450hp and Stage 1 weight reduction against a 433hp Supra. I also tuned a 300hp Amuse S2000 R1 to beat his 321hp 240SX. The key was in how I set up my cars.

Then my friend stole a setup from one of my regular Impreza STis and applied it to a 460hp full lightweight Impreza Spec C. Needless to say, my GT-R lost badly. I've been tuning a few surprises for him though...:sly:

It's a lot of fun racing this way because you can focus more on driving technique and learning the track rather than holding on for dear life.
