Generic Michael Bay Movie.... I mean TMNT 2

How on Earth did kids like this soo much that this got a sequel?

I think Michael Bay should stick to making things from scratch instead of making Live Action movies out of popular franchises. Michael Bays very own creation seem to be far better movies.

...Didn't the first one come like yesterday or something? :scared:

Well, not that I care. Didn't catch the first one, not planning to see this too.

Although, having said that - WHERE'S THE RUMORED BAD BOYS 3, Michael Bay?? Come on man, hurry up and make that 🤬 already...

Honestly, "Generic Michael Bay Movie, Now with Turtles" works just fine.

Tell the studios to stop giving him so much money. I guarantee its the only reason he does these otherwise I'm sure he doesn't give a care about TMNT.

I like saying the title of the movie in the title of the thread so things don't get confusing.

I didn't have an option of watching the first one.....and was surprised that I wasn't offended by it. I never really watched much TMNT as a kid, so that may help me some now, but I was at least able to enjoy the distraction that it is. From what I can tell, it's about as disjointed as you'd expect, lots of dumb jokes and running gags that barely elicit a chuckle, and getting by on looks to make up for the questionable acting. So we're par for Michael Bay, but unlike a lot of movies the turtles actually interest me for some reason.

I've admitted to being an idiot, so there'd be that as an excuse.

I see exactly how Michael Bay got this cleared.

"Fine....I'll make it just like the cartoon this time. If you give me a proper budget I'll get a new actor that will draw in a new audience."

Shellraiser? Check.
Krang? Check.
Baxter Stockman? Check.
Bebop and Rocksteady? Check.
Shredder using Stockman to create his own mutants? Check.
Acting cartoonishly silly? Check.

An incredibly good looking and currently hot actor to draw from another fandom? Check.

...I guess, to me it was horrid and nothing that made me fall in love with the series in the mid 90s. The video game that came out after it (BB2) didn't help matters.
The video game and the second movie was just something to waste the time lol. The Ferrari chase was fine though.

Laura Linney? Because I always appreciate Laura Linney.

Oh.

I'll be completely honest: I'd be more interested in watching this than the first one. It has a lot more fan-service in it, and it doesn't look half-bad from that perspective, even with Tyler Perry playing Baxter.

A few years ago, I rewatched the old original cartoon series. Seems I was wearing some heavy-duty rose-tinted glasses, because it really isn't all that good. If this is enough of a reboot to continue expanding the universe in a comics-appreciate direction, well, I'm okay with it.

Automatically, this is leaning towards a "never ever" for me.

Think your about 20 years late on that one. She's still a looker at fifty something, but she wont get the Dank meme generation to bite.

I honestly wonder what she was offered to do this or if this one might not suck.

Stephen Amell is definitely trying to play into his current success as a comic superhero. I just wish it had been in a franchise that hasn't been tarnished.

even with Tyler Perry playing Baxter.
That didn't even phase me. He can be good when he isn't pandering to Oprah or making himself into a horrible racial stereotype.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the new one on Nickelodeon. Similar to the original but more serialized so it's all one long story. It does have issues though.

Based on the Bebop and Rocksteady designs and the Shellraiser, this film looks to be a direct film version of that series, with the exception of April and Casey. It'd require a reboot to make April 12, though I did see Megan Fox in a schoolgirl outfit. I put nothing past Michael Bay.

Honestly, this right here is ALL I've ever seen Tyler Perry do (whether its him or the shows he produces when he isn't also producing stereotypical plays) so I'm just not confident in his appearance.

He was in Star Trek and Gone Girl.

The animated one, the real TMNT, was a darn sight better than this sequels predecessor.

I could believe how bad the first one was, the Turtles looked like CGI ogres from some medieval movie and the plot was as bad as the first G I Joe which it really looked similar to.

Still waiting for Bad Boys 3

They can't afford Will Smith, true story. The couldn't afford him for Independence Day 2 either.
