Hi all, new to gtplanet. But played gt game since the original.

Thought i would post my setup for others to try. Please note, I play with d-pad in the controller, in manual. I can usually get into the top 150 on online challenges with it.

It will work with most front engine, rwd cars, running 650 Bhp upwards. (I use dodge viper gts, 900 brake.

Types- front n1, rear n3
Transmission - set to 168 top out (lesser power might need shorter gears eg. 130 top)
Drivetrain- diff, initial 5, acceleration 60, deacceleration 5
Suspension- ride height front -15, rear -5 spring rate front 10.0, rear 8.0 rebound front 8, rear 5 compression front 5, rear 6 roll bars 7 front and back. Camper front b3.5, rear -6.5 toe front 0.05, rear -0.65

No downforce. The idea for high points is to get close or on apex's, while burning the rear tyres in as high a gear as possible (4, 5, 6).

Cars with less power, or n1 or n2 types, knock the rear toe back into -0.20 ish, maybe less, and less rear camber.

Please comment if you gave tried this. Thanks.

Ok, tbh that setup is no good. You have comfort hard in front then soft in rear, then your transmission is bonkers! 160mph, now come on. I have my 580 hp rx7 at 193. And for less than 650 hp cars, 130?! Then the advise, spin the wheels like hell? Your supposed to carry speed to get more points. If you do that you wont have too much speed.
Im sorry for being harsh, but that setup wont work.....

If you would have read through his post with a bit of common sense, you would have realized that this is a points drifting tune, as in the seasonal drift trials.

I tune for as much grip and speed possible while still having the ability to tandem, but Im sure if you hit the leaderboards this tune would be decent. Really all you need to do to make a points tune is to make it slippy as possible, hence the short gears, excessive camber, etc.

Thanks, point taken in good manner.
Honestly didn't realise there was such an 'underground' scene until I came across this site today. Yes, I was aiming at seasonal events, that's what I play regularly. And to be honest, I have found being on the line spot on, gathers more speed than worrying to much about minor difference in the ratios, even more so when your talking speeds at which you'll never reach in alot of drift events.

But I am here to gain aswell, so any advice is always taken onboard.
