Generic Settings for CSW and GT6?

Hello, I've just got my CSW a week ago and I really love it. However I'm not sure that I have the settings really optimized yet. It feels fine and it has improved my lap times but I'm worried about frying the motors as I smell the electrical smell during even a three lap race. Am I burning out the wheel or will this smell go away as some have suggested? The wheel has probably 10 solid hours of driving on it at this point and it still smells during every race. Once it cools down the smell goes away.

Now for my question. Can anyone recommend settings for the wheel that are optimal for GT6? I'm looking for setup that works for all cars. I'm not trying to replicate each type of cars feel at this point. I just want a good base to start with that ensures I'm not going to fry this wheel anytime soon.

Also what should the settings be within the game and do they even affect this wheel?

Thanks

The smell might be thermal paste from the motor cans, It does get less noticeable over time. Although I would say after ten hours you should start to notice it less. Do you notice any other issues with it?
I run with the standard 5 FFB in game and leave the wheel settings stock. Lately I've dropped the FF to 80 on the wheel as my shoulders have been a little sore from training.

Nope, no other issues with the wheel. I also run 5 FFB in the game and 80 on the wheel. I have also tweaked down or off some of the other wheel settings. The first thing I did was disable the wheel vibration on throttle push. I couldn't get used to that at all.

Thanks
