Get old wheel to work

Hi,

I have recently gotten a PS3 and GT5 prologue. All good fun, but now I am itching to get my old wheel to work with it all. I have a logitech Wingman Formula GP wheel (the yellow USB wheel for PC). If I hook it up to the PS3 it is recognized, as I can navigate the XMB as well as the in-game GT5 menus with the wheel for left right and the pedals for up down, as well as click buttons. However, when driving the wheel and pedals do not control the car, I need to set the sixaxis to controller1 to do anything.

Any tips to get it to work? It feels I am quite close to success, but no cigar yet.

Yes, I did plug it in first. I have a feeling there is a menu option somewhere to choose between controllers, is there such a thing? I could not find it yet.
Good to know your wheel works, that is encouraging to get mine running.

That wheel menu may be what is eluding me. The only wheel menu I know is in Options, where you can change the button assignments for the 5 or so different wheels GT5 knows about, as well as the steering style (amateur, pro). I don't think it lets you choose a particular wheel as such. Is there an other wheel menu that I am overseeing, or is this the one that should bring me success (it hasn't thus far...)

Thanks!

Martijn,

I have the same problem with a Tevion wheel (produced by Smart IT).

Have you found a solution? Is there a menu to select the wheel?

Thanks,
Marco
