Get Well Soon Diego Maradonna

Have you guys heard the news? Diego Maradonna(SP) is in hospital fighting for his life. He was amitted because of a lung infection. He has trouble breathing and his heart is getting alot of strain on it. It will be a sad time if he dies. I just saw the clip where it shows him putting England out of contention in the 1986 World Cup. "The Hand of God".

I heard his condition was due to his drug addiction, I hope he gets better.

Hand of god aside ( ) he was an awesome player and probably has inspired many a footballer.

I remember watching a programe about it, he was involved with organised crime in Italy at one point or another.

He was a victim of his own success. OK, he didn't help himself, but he has been used by people looking to make a profit out of him his whole life. I sincerely hope he pulls through. If there is a living legend, then surely he is it. THE greates footballer the world has ever seen. To have him in your side was to increase your teams chances of winning a trophy by about 200%. I hope he pulls through, but if it was due to the drugs, I have no sympathy, I still however would hope he recovers because I wouldn't wish anyone to die.

you would think that one of the last epople to get addicted to drugs would be a world class athlete as durgs have more impact on them than anyone else.

He's been on cocaine for ages, well he was on cocaine, he's taken others too but he's supposed to have quit using them, this recent problem is most likely a result of what he was doing thoes years ago. You'll find a lot of famouse people do drugs, footballers, film stars (especially film starts) anyone remeber River Pheonix, it's not nice when things like this happen.
