Getting a used G27, what should I be looking out for

Long story short, I was on the market for a DFGT (can't really justify spending 300 Euro on a peripheral that I'm likely going to use on GT5 alone) but noticed on an italian ebay'esque site that someone from my town's selling a G27 for cheap (200 Euro) so I was wondering, since we agreed on meeting up to try the wheel, what should I be looking out for?

What should I check exactly and how (Windows peripherals calibration, in game stuff, etc.)?

What are the most common malfunctions that are likely to affect a year old or so G27?

Thanks in advance for your help, any suggestion/advice from actual G27's owners will be appreciated.

I got my G27 for NFS: Shift (untill GT5 gets released) and to be honest I'm not sure what you could look for cause mines had a bashing, me and some mates have a few beers then try and drive with it, and it's still like brand new!
I guess I would be checking to see if all the buttons work, the FFB works, condition of the cords, general condition (scratches etc, depending on how fussy you are) but like I said, mines had some rough times, espesially the gear stick, yet you'd still think it's brand new so I would happily buy a second hand one because I know they can handle alot!
