Does anyone have any tips for getting past the Eiger reverse track?

I'm a relative noob but I've been stuck on this one race for MONTHS.:grumpy:

I've got the dual sixaxis controller and I'm using an Integra Type R with the bumper-view and traction control off, but I can't seem to place better than fourth or fifth. I've actually finished all the other races in the class and desperately want to move up, but I have hit the wall (figuratively and literally!).

I haven't found any other posts on this topic, so I'm guessing most of the folks on this forum probably mastered the track eons ago....

Does anyone have any suggestions? Good passing spots? Other cars or setup options?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Draft timing.

You have to get as much slipstream as possible from each car you pass.

Also it helps if you treat the AI the same way you get treated online. ie: PUNT!

have you watched youtube videos. they helped me see the passing spots.
never get off throttle. brake and throttle at same time.
pass on inside. just divebomb into corners and punt the other guys off track.
by not getting off throttle you should have speed,
integra is best car.

If you're driving with an automatic transmission, switch to manual
Put the ASM and traction control to off. Race with Standard physics its a bit easier than professional.
If you don't succeed, don't mind to drive dirty (smashing the A.I. to pass)
Good Luck:tup:
Tell us if you win your race its always fun to know.

:yuck: Right i`ll be sure to give you a wide berth if i see your name come up in a online race. :ouch:

you all absolutely ROCK!! I took the suggestions above (standard physics...pass on the inside....and - I'm sad to admit - some punting)...and I just cleared the track in about five minutes.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

I promise that if I get up the nerve to ever race online I'll try not to use all of the same tactics on you!

come on I would not do that in an online race. this guy is trying to get through c-9 so why not let him punt the AI. we all did it at the start.

now that you got through it practice on it. you will see how fun it is. also take different cars on it. the golf, focus, atenza. see if you can win with all of them. take heart I was awful on this track, just awful. now i love eiger and love that race.

Nice to know that we helped you:tup:

Then again like Big E once said, I was not trying to wreck him I was just trying to rattle his cage.

Well that is different, some rubbing is going to happen during racing but as everyone knows punting is a major problem and we don`t need to be encouraging bad habit`s as a way to win either offline or online 👍
