This is going to be my first GT game. I read some very good feedback so decided to get the game. Anyways i've some questions. I heard there are some update issues that can even make you delete the entire downloaded content (from the store), is this true? How many GBs do i have to download including all updates?. And how does the credit system works? I saw cars costing 1M+ and others only 10k. Is it hard to get credits? I mean I feel like trying to buy a car costing 1M+ credits will be a pain. (apologizes for my bad english)

Regarding the GBs for updates not sure but there is quite a lot by memory. The credit system is simple you earn more as you progress, it is very easy to get credits. I've had 40mill+ for ages now and trust me it's not a pain to earn credits. It's never been easier in a GT, well there was GT5 seasonals

Edit: The update glitch never happened to me but it did to my friend, it is a pain to fix but easy to fix.

Getting credits shouldn't be a problem as there are so many ways to get credits and the rewards are high so getting the 1M+ priced cars are no problem to get.

In terms of storage space, I would say you would need at least 20-30GB available. As some updates are quite big and they will release more in the future. Also I have yet to encounter any problems during the updates.

If you have 2 hours spear time per day on your hand you have plenty of time to earn credits and buy cars. If you play connected online the credit multiplies, 5 days straight and the credits double, the seasonals will be easy money when you unlock it. Like someone posted you need like 20 to 30gb space to handle the updates, but this game is well worth the money in my opinion.

This may be hard to do when you've just got the game but try and get the log in bonus up to 200% before you do any of the one time paying events. Sierra and the Senna events are huge payers. The Red Bulls you can do as many times as you want as well as the high paying seasonals. I think the 700pp Silverstone event will get you 400+k with 110% log in (just grab the 1 million credit LM55 from the VGT section)

You could short cut to decent payouts even with a low log in bonus in the quick matches too. Do the first couple of licenses to activate them and even if you come last, you'll see over 100k for 6 minutes work.

Put the hours in (if you can) and you'll have more credits than you can spend.

Regarding the updates:

...and these step by step instructions from another forum:

Steps to address the “Installation Failed” issue:

  1. Backup save data file to PS Plus or USB drive and delete existing save data file from the PS3 prior to update process **
  2. Within the Games tab of the XMB select Game Data Utility
  3. Highlight GT6 Game Data and press the “Triangle" button and select DELETE
  4. While connected to PSN, highlight the GT6 game disc/game file from the XMB
  5. Press the “Triangle” button and select “Check for Updates”
  6. Accept the update prompts and begin patch process via the XMB
  7. Allow the first 6 patches to download and install.
  8. Once the 6th patch has finished installing, press the “Circle” button to cancel the download process
  9. Scroll left while on the XMB, and highlight the Settings Tab
  10. Scroll down to the Network Settings tab>Internet Connection and select DISABLE (this step will prevent the title from trying to complete the remaining TPPS patch process)
  11. Boot GT6 and follow the in-game prompts until the main menu appears. (this step will create new save data which will later be deleted)
  12. Once the initial in-game installation process is complete, press the “PS” button and Quit the game to return to the XMB
  13. Return to the Settings>Network Settings>Internet Connection screen and select ENABLE
  14. Highlight the GT6 game disc/game file and press the “Triangle” button and “Check for Updates”
  15. Once the first patch has completed it’s download/install process press the “Circle” button to Cancel
  16. Repeat steps 10-15 until all TPPS patches have been installed.
  17. Copy save data from step 1 back to the PS3 system (overwriting any existing save data that may have been created during the update process)

Never had the problem myself but sometimes I've found a track wouldn't load or it seems to load as I'm actually driving it. Reinstalling the game data always fixes it for me.
