The 200-series dates back to the 1920s, when Peugeot decided to change their numbering scheme with the first model under this being the 201. The 200 series has continued for 8 generations now with only a few minor gaps, along with a bit of overlap. Which of these French small cars is your favorite?

Knowing the crowd here, I could probably guess that the 205 will be popular based on the GTi and T16 models. Those two versions are exactly the reason that I am also voting for it! :P

If we were talking about just the performance versions then yes, the 205 would be the obvious choice, but in terms of the whole range the 208 takes it easily. The GTI model is also cool.

This like asking somebody what their favorite Supra is.
So I vote Mk. Fou-

..uh I mean 205. :sly:

The 205 spawned one of the best hot hatches of all time and one of the best rally cars of all time.

Easy decision.

I grey up with the 304, 504 and 205. great performances in several motorsport disciplines with the 205, 206, 207 and 208 but the one I like personally the most is the 203. It was inspired by the American carculture during that time period.

The 205. For daily needs nothing beats Roland Garros edition. Exclusive and much more common than the GTi.

The 205 was when Pug were at heights they'll never reach again.

The 202 harks back to a period when Peugeot set the mark for offbeat French styling. I can't say it worked as well here as it did with the 302 or 402 but the recessed grille headlamps have always been one of my favourite old Pug hallmarks.

If this became a "Which is do you think is best generation?" thread, the 205 and 208 would be the only two fighting for the title.

205. For many, many reasons.

Followed by the 204, because I think the 204 coupe is lovely.

In what way? Most modern Peugeots are comfortably among the better choices in their respective classes, just as they were back when the 205 was around.

Much as I love the 205, if I could only choose one for my dream car collection it would have to be the 202. Love the styling, the woody wagon variant was cute too. Basic underpinnings enough to give it a reasonable power-weight, for its time at least. I've voted for it as it's my fave but the 205 is the one I still like a lot and arguably did the most for the marque, and is by far the most iconic.

I like the 205, but the 204 has so much more charm, like many cars of its era.

I actually had no idea about this.

But the A60 Celica Supra is my favorite. :P
